First day back to work

Trying to make a good thing of it, but it’s more like diving into quicksand

I have a plan as my company is on the fast track to no longer being worth staying at in the next couple years or less, so hopefully this year I have the energy and gumption to make it happen 💪

A lot of it was spent sleeping and cooking believe it or not

And I didn’t get to game with my nephews like I wanted to 😞

Six weeks went by so quickly how did that even happen

In the end I agree we should WANT to play smth whether it’s over and over or just once and still get a full experience or promise of enrichment as we continue (in my Warframe era rn👌 Ntm they didn’t delete all their past content)

The idea of “can’t” stop playing sounds like digital shackles to me

You mention “can’t” vs “want” and it feels like it’s already like that. All grind and little reward. Like the game is meant to be played not experienced—the goal is no longer to tell a story or share an experience but to maximize clicks or something

Doesn’t help I’m bitter about it all XD

For me, no—I haven’t played since they stripped the game of the people and content that made its world meaningful and the studio a place of pride.

Language like this sounds trite and presumptuous to me. Will they achieve that statement just by saying it? /gen

“I don’t want to be the only one not getting something”

“I haven’t had this in a long time/___ stopped making it”

“It’s on sale/so cheap compared to usual!”

Even though Baxter got so old, gosh I think he turned voting age this year, his baby face persevered, and he never gave up the chance to kiss you or slow blink and tell you he loved you. My parents were getting ready to take him to the vet and he passed at home before they could.

Rest now baby boy

My childhood cat died this morning and I’m just happy he can finally rest. He was family; saw me through the thick of my childhood.

It’s corny to talk about pets being soulmates but when I lived at home, he was always there for me. Even when he started to forget and age, he loved me all the same.
