Just noticed my Big Maple tree leaking sap. Quickly made a spire and tapped the tree. I used a branch pruned off of my apple tree, and carved it with my pruning shears 😅.

I think I'll invest in a spire or a carving knife this year. 😆

Yes, the hole is large and oddly shaped. Turns out milk cartons are really difficult to cut a circle in with a box cutter. 😅

Finishing up making a no till bed for next year's 3 sisters crop: corn, beans & squash.

Love my large maple, for the abundance of free leaf mulch. Ladybugs can over winter in it. And it also smothers out leftover grass my chickens have missed earlier.
