Sad bastard. πΆβΎοΈπβ³οΈπ·ππΊ Milwaukee Brewers | Bucks | Golf βYou see, the life I live is sickening / I spent a decade playing chicken with oblivion / Day to day, I'm neck and neck with giving in / I'm the same old wreck I've always beenβ β David Berman

Maybe Rollins or Dieng or someone they draft will be the Bucks' version of Ohtani. But even then, the post-Scioscia Angels remained terrible β they brought in more retread managers (Ausmus & Maddon), didn't build around Trout/Ohtani, and got lapped by the league in player development and analytics.
Best comp for last 2 Bucks seasons: '16-18 Angels. MVP-caliber seasons from superstars (Trout/Giannis), incongruent roster constructions prioritizing basic stats & name recognition over advanced metrics & coherent fit, & end-of-the-line leaders that the game had long passed by (Scioscia/Doc).
One of the most depressing things about watching the Bucks is that once an opponent figures out an effective strategy against them, the game is effectively over. Tonight it's the Hawks forcing switches to target AJ and pressing Giannis with Daniels, among other things. No adjustments by the Bucks.
Shane Drohan looks like Cole Hamels. Easy to see what the Brewers liked about him.
@adammccalvy.bsky.social did a great story about it: www.mlb.com/news/brewers...
Is Tom Sim the first TGL Superstar? Can he win TGL MVP Awards for the next decade without being competitive on the PGA Tour? I'm excited to find out. Jup Links!!!
The Bucks are such a mess again. Kuz inexplicably benched. Little to no defensive strategy or effort. Offense is Giannis iso'ing while everyone watches... and that's the good version. When Giannis is off the floor, it's not clear what they're trying to do. Vibes are terrible. This sucks.
One might think the Bucks should be investigated for tanking today's game, but they were trying their best while getting outscored 33-8 in the fourth quarter by a team that just went winless in February. Goodness gracious!
Can think of nothing more cowardly than pressing a button to shoot a missile that will land dozens or hundreds of miles away. Little bottle of water next to your desk. "Yes sir" and all that shit. Walking around saluting each other. Fucking losers. Killers.
The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive
I think it's 75%, actually.
Rooting for a 10-player playoff at Pebble Beach with all ten teeing off in the same group during a 50mph wind storm.
Cam Thomas has increased the Bucks' watchability by at least 50%. He's no Khris Middleton, but at least he can kind of pretend.
Iowa fans must be loving this Super Bowl.

Shams might as well have issued a Giannis Trade meme coin and it would be about the same level of rug pull
As always, just listen to/read @jimowczarski.bsky.social. Itβs really that simple.
So many nice things get destroyed by the billionaire/capitalist class every day so already-obscenely-wealthy people can become even more obscenely wealthy or just because they want us to know how much they despise us.
A serious question: If Walz asks, could Canada deploy some Mounties and Army troops to help defend the Twin Cities against the Trump regimeβs occupation? Article 5 didnβt anticipate civil unrest, but these are unprecedented times.
And still Doremus goes on in the red sunrise, for a Doremus Jessup can never die.
I get why you don't do this β I'm not criticizing β but I wish you would ask Doc after tonight why he thinks he's still capable of turning this team around. They're totally checked out. He keeps telling you about all the adjustments & film sessions & walk-throughs, but they just keep playing worse.
The Bucks are again totally discombobulated and playing at scrimmage speed... against a comically compromised Nuggets team... on Denver's second night of a back-to-back. They really are starting to look like the Cleveland Browns of the NBA. It's appalling.
Reality: Brewers fans who turn 21 in 2026 have seen their team make the playoffs nine times. They had good non-playoff teams to follow in five more seasons. They were 6, 13, and 20 when their team went to the NLCS.
National writers: why donβt the Brewers care about winning?!?
Bueckersβ 2025 WNBA rookie base salary was $78,831. Giving $50,000 from winning the Unrivaled FT contest is rad.
Wildflowers is such a great album that the outtakes are better than most bands' best albums.
Unfortunately, the Patriots figured out the perfect counter-move: if they ALSO just kneel and punt every time they get the ball, the Texansβ defense canβt score. If both teams adopt this strategy, only a punt return for a TD can change the outcome. That might be rational for both teams!
I think my strategy would have worked better.
And donβt forget we also get scolded for criticizing this author for being mean-spirited and unwilling to appreciate their perspective. βTheir perspectiveβ being that theyβd rather make money selling a book shaped by lies than to tell the truth and beat an assholeβs lawsuit. Infuriating!
The Texans should try kneeling on every offensive play and punting it back to the Patriots. Thereβs a good chance the Texansβ defense can outscore the Patriotsβ offense. Just gotta make sure the Patriotsβ *defense* doesnβt score.
