Can't think of a clearer signal we desperately need statutory Bivens now.
In layman's terms: we currently cannot sue individual Federal officers who act violently during arrests. A SCOTUS case, Bivens, created a way to, but this (and past) SCOTUSes have gutted it. Congress needs to codify it.
This bill would enable parents to sue school employees if they don’t inform parents their child has “socially transitioned.” So now idaho schools could be monitoring/reporting nail polish or if a new nickname is feminine enough to not count (eg Cat instead of Cathryn) 🙃

It was my understanding swing voters tend to be conservative socially but liberal economically. Kamala didn’t get any on them by trying to moderate. Just hit affordability.

Ardis was one of my fave friends I made through bloggernacle/Mormon twitter and then later IRL. Leaving twitter and starting working a few years ago meant a lot of these connections fell off. Just found out she passed away. I’ve been crying on and off. Life is a thief.
A tariff “refund” mostly goes to whoever wrote the tariff check: the importer of record. That’s not the same person who paid more at the register. So refunds -- if they're offered -- might sound like consumer relief, but in reality, they're corporate windfalls.
