Really getting sick of the Democrats falling for the idiotic framing of taxes. Cutting taxes means less money for benefits, and represents only minor savings for the poor and middle class. We should all be taxed a little more, but the rich should be taxed A LOT more. Give us care not cuts.

You are the one who keeps getting in the way! We tried a wealth tax but you protected your donors, and now the millionaire tax has been watered down because of you. We dont need cuts and tax breaks, we need services! Healthcare, Childcare, education, transportation, READ THE ROOM.

The people listed in this thread are negligent in enforcing the law and protecting the people of this state. Point blank. Period. End of story. I don’t care if there is an R or a D next to their name. They’ve done a piss poor job. They should be fired and replaced by more competent people.

NEW: 11 Dems in the WA House and Senate voted against the Millionaires Tax. Some can use the purpleness of their district as an excuse, but in all 11 cases, their constituents support taxing the rich more than they do their representatives as candidates www.theburnerseattle.com/post/taxing-...

Yes. Even in states that have made it β€œillegal” for cops to help ICE. They are. Elected officials know it’s happening. Look at this recent report from the University of Washington, where they show a DOL data is linked to increase kidnappings. The data is STILL being shared

What that says to me is even the insiders now recognize how totally broken the legislature has become. Dems have stable majorities in a trifecta state, but routinely fail to deliver. Schools are facing fiscal crisis. They couldn't even do 75 year bonds to avert cuts to the ST3 rail projects.

Many legislative bodies limit the number of amendments that can be submitted on the floor. Why does the Dem majority in #waleg allow the opposition party to file an unlimited number, when sessions are short? A useful tool to kill the party’s own bills they don’t actually want to pass? One wonders.

10.03.2026 03:30 πŸ‘ 39 πŸ” 3 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 1

That's what our legislature is designed to do. The bills die in committee or are watered down to nothing, then slowed to a crawl. Its all so they can get away with doing as little as possible to anger their big donors.

If you get into a β€œwho can cut taxes more” battle with the GOP, you’re going to lose because they are far more shameless and antagonistic to the idea of living in a functioning society.

Don’t concede to their framing that taxes are nothing but a problem to be solved.

09.03.2026 18:38 πŸ‘ 2669 πŸ” 502 πŸ’¬ 31 πŸ“Œ 23

the solution isn't "fewer taxes on everyone but the rich" it's "more taxes for everyone but BIG TIME AND ESPECIALLY the rich." This way rich people pay their share but everyone is paying into systems that have the funding to benefit them! It's really simple! Even a guy named Cory can understand it!

You average normie Democrat in 2026 loves AOC, wants to abolish ICE, and thinks Israel shouldn’t get another penny from us.

It’s laughable how out of touch centrist consultants and politicians are.

Disgusting is not a strong enough word to describe how absolutely vile this is.

This rhetoric is un-American and has no place in this country.

AOC: They wanted to issue this statement as though we’re just going after these 30-year-old men on Medicaid playing video games in their basement, right? This was the narrative that we heard.

First of all, I think everyone should have healthcare in America, regardless of who you are

We really need to make the legislature work year round. Having to stuff the business of an entire state into this short period is ridiculous.

You only have a short time to comment. They are trying to destroy our forests to enrich a few logging company executives and the politicians they’ve paid off.

OCASIO-CORTEZ STATEMENT ON
TRUMP'S COMBAT OPERATIONS IN IRAN
"The American people are once again dragged into a war they did not want by a president who does not care about the long-term consequences of his actions. This war is unlawful. It is unnecessary. And it will be catastrophic.

"Just this week, Iran and the United States were negotiating key measures that could have staved off war. The President walked away from these discussions and chose war instead.President Trump flippantly acknowledged the possibility of American casualties, stating "that often happens in war.'

"Mr. President: this was not an inevitability. This is a deliberate choice of aggression when diplomacy and security were within reach. Stop lying to the American people.

"Violence begets violence. We learned this lesson in Iraq. We learned this lesson in Afghanistan. And we are about to learn it again in Iran. Bombs have yet to create enduring democracies in the region and this will be no different.

"In moments of war, our Constitution is unambiguous: Congress authorizes war. The President does not. I will do my part to uphold our Constitution by voting YES on Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie's War Powers Resolution. Every member of Congress must join us in rejecting this aimless war.

Kamala gets a lot of grace for the position Biden put her in. But we have to acknowledge that she’s also not a good political operator.
