Have you talked on here about how you made the decision to go from tattooing to math in here? I’ve found myself on a woodworking > biochem > math trajectory and would be interested to hear about your experience!

I only know because I read MANIAC, but von Neumann was obviously invested in Hilbert’s foundations program. Gödel’s work shook him. He locked him self in a room for weeks. He emerged with a second incompleteness theorem and sent it to Gödel who said “Oh yeah, I have a proof for that already”

Well, Von Neumann arguably. Throughly fucked him up, but he recovered (???).
