This is the problem with paying an average ish QB. 10 QBs have an APY of $50M+ per @overthecap.bsky.social. And you have to have great results in order to make that type of contract worth it. Average QBs need great surroundings, which isn't feasible at that price #NFL
Another competent #NFL QB available...
#NFL Defensive Aggression Analysis!
- Top-3 defenses were great at limiting explosives and maximizing drive killers
- Bears and Lions games were fun
- Bosa injury eliminated the 49ers pass rush
#NFL Defenses by Down!
- Cowboys were not a good defense overall, however late downs gutted them
- Vikings defense was certainly not the problem
- The best late down defenses made it to the Superbowl... possibly a sign it may be hard for them to return
#NFL Passing & Rushing Defenses!
- Giants could not stop the run, while the Seahawks great run defense led them to a championship
- Jets had a terrible passing offense and defense
- 49ers were lucky on run defense
#NFL Defenses 2025 Thread!
- Texans were consistently the best
- Cowboys did not get better, despite adding Williams, however the Jets certainly got worse
- Rams fell off, while the Bengals & Giants got a lot better over the last few games
Yeah, Cardinals had bad injury luck in 2025 bsky.app/profile/burc...
Awesome work! Are you gonna use this in your free agent deal analysis, to help determine if the player was over/under paid?
yup...
2026 #NFL QB Projections!
- Mahomes still in a tier of his own
- Doesn't adjust for age the best... see Rodgers
- Richardson is a bust at this point
- Nix with the highest year-3 QB projection
- Previous season & career play are the most important predictors
#NFL QB Performances!
- Love's injury and lack of volume led to him not making the MVP conversation
- Maye fell off in the playoffs
- Shocker: Browns still have a QB problem
- Shough & Dart had solid rookie seasons
- Dak probably should've been comeback player of the year
Should #NFL Teams be Passing More?
- Packers the most efficient passing team, however passed below average versus expected
- Patriots leaned into their strength
- Seahawks were conservative because of a great defense, although could've had more success on offense if they passed more
#NFL Offensive Aggression Analysis!
- Rams were explosive and limited mistakes, while the Bills had a few more mistakes
- 1 out of 10 plays for the Vikings was a sack, fumble, or interception... yikes
- Texans & Broncos were likely conservative due to their defenses being their strengths
#NFL Offenses by Down!
- Rams were the best early down offense, which is incredibly stable year-to-year
- Late downs absolutely crushed the Falcons
- Not surprising Eagles are good on late downs (tush push) however their success rate being below average suggests that wasn't the driving factor
#NFL Passing & Rushing Offenses!
- Raiders were horrific rushing the ball, in back-to-back seasons too; maybe the RB wasn't the problem
- Rams were arguably the top passing & rushing offense
- Packers offense with a healthy Parsons on defense will be dangerous
#NFL 2025 Offenses Thread!
- Rams offense ramped up, while their defense regressed
- Jones & Mahomes injuries really hurt their teams
- Browns were a bad offense, no matter who they had at QB
2025 #NFL Drive Killers Impact!
- Bears the best, while the Jets & Raiders were the worst
- 49ers got far, despite many injuries and being bad at driver killers
- Browns below average, even though Garrett broke the sack record
2025 #NFL Injury Luck!
- QB contracts driving the value lost for 5 of the top-6 teams
- 49ers unluckiest in back-to-back years
- Despite the most games played, Seahawks and Pats weren't injury prone
2026 #NFL Power Rankings!
- Great offense (like the Rams & Bills) are stable
- Teams with QB and/or coaching changes have higher variances (aka higher ceiling & lower floor)
- Colts could rebound if Danny dimes does as well
Final 2025 #NFL Team Rankings!
- Seahawks won #SuperbowlLX because of a great defense, while they were arguably not the best team in their division
- The AFC champions fell short
- Bills might have had a shot
- Jets having a bottom-3 offense & defense led to a very rough season
I don't think they'll give it to him, but you could make a STRONG case that Devon Witherspoon is the MVP of this game
Yikes...
Reminder that Darnold got only $7.5M fully guaranteed more than Justin Fields on the open market last offseason. Thatβs the league telling you what it thought.
Wow... Sanders had good plays too but lots of bad plays throughout the season which dropped his overall play #Browns #NFL #ProBowl
If you adjust for SOS, Bills and Rams would likely be ahead
#SuperbowlLX #NFL Leans!
- Too many points considering how close these teams are
- Pats have faced top-10 defenses exclusively in the playoffs and are undefeated
- Great passing, explosive play, and late down matchups on both sides
#SuperBowlLX Power Rankings!
- Best team on the year eliminated
- 2nd & 3rd best teams remain
- All 4 units (offenses & defenses) are top-10 in efficiency
#NFL Championship Weekend Review!
- LA-SEA was a classic shootout
- NE-DEN was a classic snow game
#NFL Leans for this week!
- Nix being out flips this and makes the Pats a slight value
- Rams have been worse as of late, so the spread is about right
