This is the problem with paying an average ish QB. 10 QBs have an APY of $50M+ per @overthecap.bsky.social. And you have to have great results in order to make that type of contract worth it. Average QBs need great surroundings, which isn't feasible at that price #NFL

- Top-3 defenses were great at limiting explosives and maximizing drive killers
- Bears and Lions games were fun
- Bosa injury eliminated the 49ers pass rush

#NFL Defenses by Down!
- Cowboys were not a good defense overall, however late downs gutted them
- Vikings defense was certainly not the problem
- The best late down defenses made it to the Superbowl... possibly a sign it may be hard for them to return

#NFL Passing & Rushing Defenses!
- Giants could not stop the run, while the Seahawks great run defense led them to a championship
- Jets had a terrible passing offense and defense
- 49ers were lucky on run defense

#NFL Defenses 2025 Thread!
- Texans were consistently the best
- Cowboys did not get better, despite adding Williams, however the Jets certainly got worse
- Rams fell off, while the Bengals & Giants got a lot better over the last few games

- Doesn't adjust for age the best... see Rodgers
- Richardson is a bust at this point
- Nix with the highest year-3 QB projection
- Previous season & career play are the most important predictors

- Love's injury and lack of volume led to him not making the MVP conversation
- Maye fell off in the playoffs
- Shocker: Browns still have a QB problem
- Shough & Dart had solid rookie seasons
- Dak probably should've been comeback player of the year

- Packers the most efficient passing team, however passed below average versus expected
- Patriots leaned into their strength
- Seahawks were conservative because of a great defense, although could've had more success on offense if they passed more

- Rams were explosive and limited mistakes, while the Bills had a few more mistakes
- 1 out of 10 plays for the Vikings was a sack, fumble, or interception... yikes
- Texans & Broncos were likely conservative due to their defenses being their strengths

#NFL Offenses by Down!
- Rams were the best early down offense, which is incredibly stable year-to-year
- Late downs absolutely crushed the Falcons
- Not surprising Eagles are good on late downs (tush push) however their success rate being below average suggests that wasn't the driving factor

#NFL Passing & Rushing Offenses!
- Raiders were horrific rushing the ball, in back-to-back seasons too; maybe the RB wasn't the problem
- Rams were arguably the top passing & rushing offense
- Packers offense with a healthy Parsons on defense will be dangerous

- Rams offense ramped up, while their defense regressed
- Jones & Mahomes injuries really hurt their teams
- Browns were a bad offense, no matter who they had at QB

- Seahawks won #SuperbowlLX because of a great defense, while they were arguably not the best team in their division
- The AFC champions fell short
- Bills might have had a shot
- Jets having a bottom-3 offense & defense led to a very rough season
