This feels like how metas evolve around retail limited. Which in a cube then requires that people are invested in knowing the ins-outs of a list & know how to draft/read signals at a deeper level.
My group is pretty competitive so Iβve seen it happen a bit. Can make it harder on newcomers tho.

One of the best moments of the day, the final game between the Bant players in draft 1: - Josh steals Pieterβs Galepowder Mage with Sower. Passes. - Pieter slams and activates Mindslaver - Pieter takes control of Joshβs turn, attacking with his stolen Galepowder mage to flicker his Eternal Witness, getting back Mindslaver. - Pieter has enough power to out race the Mage as he keeps attacking himself with it to blink the EWitt for the Mindslaver loop.
