He’s going to declare victory and leave.

This is why the US engaging in a regime change operation is almost always a bad idea, but particularly under this administration.

Taking his ball and going home now will create another insurgency in the Middle East.

Dr. Oz says Obamacare enrollment may be β€˜too high’ Even as the top official for Medicaid and Medicare claims millions may be falsely enrolled, the Trump administration is urging younger people to sign up for high-deductible ACA plans.

[citation needed]

Supposedly, millions of people with ACA coverage have obtained it fraudulently by enrolling in 2 different states or making too little money, according to a conservative think tank.

Gov. Jeff Landry urges Louisiana Legislature to hold β€˜incompetent’ judges accountable Landry dedicated much of the speech to recapping changes he and the legislature he have made that he says are boosting Louisiana’s economy.

Governor Asshole wants the power to remove judges who don't rule the way he wants, specifically in Orleans Parish. His example of why that's necessary is that a teen out on supervision murdered someone, as though the judge should have kept an unconvicted man in jail on gun and drug charges.

Gov. Jeff Landry calls for Louisiana to get rid of inspection stickers. Here’s what we know. On the opening day of the 2026 regular legislative session, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry called the traditional vehicle inspection sticker process is β€œannoying” and β€œinconvenient” and said it should be ...

Governor Asshole wants to eliminate car inspection stickers and replace them with a QR code that will allow police to identify the owner of the car and if it is insured.

So he wants to replace "do your taillights work" with "surveillance state."

The GOP loves a surveillance state now.

Republican Rep. Kiley leaves GOP, tightening Johnson's margins Kiley said he will still caucus with Republicans for administrative purposes.

The partisan gerrymander eliminated his district, so he switched to independent. It's bullshit.

I like the way some countries have Crisis of Confidence procedures that automatically trigger a vote for new government. WE NEED THAT HERE! We'll never be safe from GOP majority in government.

Shouldn’t Brendan Carr be launching an FCC probe of Fox Broadcasting Co.?

So how about it, Mr. Chairman? Why not launch a probe to find out whether Fox’s editing issue was β€œinadvertent,” as they claim β€” or, as certainly seems possible given the network’s record, β€œan intentional effort to mislead the American people”?

Nature Report, Killed by Trump, Is Released Independently

Scientists and other experts were preparing an assessment of the health of nature in the US when Trump returned to the White House. He canceled the report. The researchers went ahead and compiled it on their own. This week, they released a 868-p draft for public comment and scientific review.

If I understand correctly, it's also a Hatch Act violation.

But who's going to prosecute? The offenders?

The military draft comment from Leavitt feels like a trial balloon.

If there's enough outcry, Trump denies it and Leavitt falls on her sword for "misspeaking."

If there's not, Trump and Hegseth bring it up casually and slowly push. For example, Trump may "joke" about it as a next step.

"Every other group in the world has a right to its own homeland besides White people?"

Actually, they don't. There isn't a "homeland" for a particular skin colour, and it's insane to think so. The entire premise is a delusion of white supremacists.

DC folks actually sort of need to demand that heads roll over this. It’s a real problem if law enforcement in the capital is so pathetic, weak, and supine that their instinct is to act as stormtroopers for illicit federal power grabs.

Hegseth Scoffs at 60 Minutes Questioning If Iran Was an Imminent Threat: β€˜Silly and Academic’ Pete Hegseth scoffed at Major Garrett who questioned whether Iran was an imminent threat to the U.S. when he launched Operation Epic Fury nine days ago.

So it was an "imminent threat," and thus "didn't require congressional approval." But pointing out that it wasn't an imminent threat, according to Hegseth's own words, is "silly and academic."

This movement toward organic, no processed etc food is a noble cause I think, but we forget that things like microwaves and frozen meals and canned goods and less-than-healthy cleaning products are all items that freed women from the hearth. The reversion is tying them back to it.

Hegseth Tells 60 Minutes the Trump Admin Reserves The Right to Put Boots on the Ground in Iran: β€˜We’re Willing to Go As Far As We Need’ Pete Hegseth said he and President Trump are "willing to go as far as we need" to topple Iran β€” and that includes sending American troops if necessary

"That answer came a moment after he told Major Garrett the U.S. did not have any 'overt or covert forces' currently operating in Iran. But he smirked and was cagey with Garrett, telling him 'Uh, I wouldn’t tell you that if we did.'"

Still not a war, GOP?
