No one was hurt in any of them, which is a comfort. This is still terrifying.

I have just seen Evening All Afternoon at the Donmar Warehouse. It's a two-hander in which a stepmother and stepdaughter try and often fail to connect across very different outlooks and life experiences. Also a play in which the Covid lockdowns are an explicit backdrop. Very good.

I'd be a happy supporter even if Film Is Fabulous had never found any Who. The work they do is really important, and we Who fans have been really lucky in what's already been found. It's heartwarming to see the care that's been taken finding some missing Who episodes spread to entire collections.

I will never tear up my Lib Dem membership card, because it has on it a former Leader I both adored and had more face-to-face rows with than any before or since because he, too, cared passionately about principles.

Long ago when I was a Lib Dem Parliamentary candidate I’d quote Churchill in support of Europe, or human rights, or against fascism or poverty.

This is astonishing. I had previously thought that scanning a single brain was technically infeasible: the technologies that scanned at the required resolution were too destructive or didn't capture the right info. And that turning 2D slices into a 3D structure would not be possible.
I was wrong.
