It's a song that's an example of itself! (It helps that the vocals are 90s-mumbly.)

Just realized "There's a clown in the attic" scans perfectly as a replacement for "There's a hole in the bucket."

Dear Liza, dear Liza

don’t forget to destroy your clocks tonight, walk away from your mortgage, just start driving, you’re free

Tonight is the night. Place your clock on the altar. Light the black candle and say the words that bring the wolf that eats the hour.

Mechanic who also taught go-tech (after having lied about his age to go to WW2) on one side. Other side ran a metal fabrication shop (that took custom jobs and built mezzanines).

Sometimes? Yes. (A shower where I shave my legs and deep condition my hair can just take longer getting things done. But sometimes I get distracted by it being nice to stand in the falling water.

A sunset sky over a cityscape. The sky is a purplish blue with clouds lit in shades of pink, fading towards orange at the horizon. There are buildings in the background, across the street, and lampposts and train tracks in the foreground. (Brookline, Boston, 22 Jan 2026)

Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some zen to the feed.

Henceforth, I will be describing the way that U.S. men’s hockey spectacularly squandered good will, brand recognition, and fan loyalty as “pulled a Target.”

They pulled a Target.

Little Plastic Castle, Ani DiFranco is the first place my brain went. Papa Was a Rodeo by The Magnetic Fields would be so much fun as a pairs skate, too.

Dude, I have no dog in this race and no interest in arguing with you. You asked what data, I thought it was very obvious, so I answered.

I mean, expecting any big tech companies not to hand over info to the police (proactively or not) is a dubious proposition. This isn't the main reason I think the robots are not great, but it's a factor. (But now you have me picturing police-run bots masquerading as delivery bots for surveillance.)

And all of the video data it's collecting as the robot drives from the restaurant to your house.

Hey a very great maker of plastic for 3d printers has set up a thing where you pay $20 and they ship a spool of filament to members of our printing crew. One spool makes 500 whistles or more. Help out!

Obviously this is who we have always been, that is a given... but the fact that people who did not know that are out here, protesting for the first time, in actual tears?

They have lost complete control of this narrative, man.

A blue plate with a personal pan pizza and breadsticks on it, with a ramekin of red sauce and a glass of diet pepsi, sitting on a speckled kitchen counter.

Look, I don't know why I'm stuck on recreating pizza hut meals, but there are far less productive coping mechanisms. (And I haven't caved and bought red cups.)

A database tracking a thing is not the reason that a thing happens.

British Woman shot by dad in Texas after 'arguing about Donald Trump' Lucy Harrison, 23, was alone in a bedroom at her father's home in Texas when she was shot dead.

A MAGA freak in Texas murdered his own daughter in cold blood after they had an argument about Trump.

A grand jury in the Dallas area then *declined to indict him*, and he has not yet faced charges.

Seems like many Texans believe a man has the right to kill his own child for disobedience.

Ouch! This sort of thing is still discomfiting, even if it's not serious injury.

Meet the mastermind behind Trump’s definition of "woman" May Mailman’s anti-trans crusade could threaten gender equality for all.

I wanted to know the backstory of the executive order that defined "man" and "woman"—the foundation for the Trump admin's targeting of trans people.

So I took a deep dive into the conservative strategy & distorted feminism behind it. And I talked to the author.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

I forget how good the pizza hut / book-it vibes are, so it's been way too long since I made the king arthur pan pizza. (I use a 7" pan and thus get to have pizzas on two consecutive nights.)
