Good Virtual Reality is nearly a month old and this is the first podcast episode talking with Doug North Cook about 14 years of work in VR. www.goodvirtualreality.com/p/the-most-i...
Space would be nice but think it needs to be design around that. Feels hard to adapt this game to that.
Now everything is floating cause I donβt have anything to build on. But the idea is to have some ground in VR (in MR you build on your furniture). But yeah desert might be boring. But maybe could work if itβs more a sand pit in a forest?
Working on adding VR support for my Mixed Reality game Loop One Done. What do you think should be the environment to build in? A desert? A monochrome void? Something else?

You can play it here (just note Itβs made in two days so it's a bit rough π

Keep Smiling is a chaotic physics-based local co-op game where you control one arm each, try rotating packages to scan them, and pull up your face to keep your mask in front of the customers. 2/3
Won my first game jam this weekend together with two friends during Global Game Jam at the Gothenburg site π 1/3
Definitely! In regular vector graphics, you usually have an option how the caps and joints should look like. If they are cut off like this, or rounded. Think there are some other options too, right? Might be some good inspiration in case you wanna go into another rabbit hole π
Donβt agree with any sh*t from that clown. But it actually sounds very fun! I will definitely watch a stream (Will not put my foot in the states until 3 years from now π)
My second independent piece of writing is asking the question of @buddingmonkey.bsky.social:
When do we get to 1 billion people in VR headsets? open.substack.com/pub/goodvr/p...
Damn that sucks. So sorry to hear that. Have been a joy watching you and David arguing about random things in the podcast for years and reading your articles. Looking forward to see what you are doing next!
So sad to hear about you job. Just bought a year subscription at least. Looking forward to see what you will write without any editor hanging over your shoulder π
The new Lynx R2 standalone #VR headset looks pretty interesting, with its:
- Very wide 126Β° FOV
- 24 PPD at the center
- Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset
- Full-color four-sensor Sony camera array that also includes depth sensing

A way to delicious pizza
Made this way to delicious pizza for the second time this week for my parents and brother. Itβs blue cheese, cheddar, sliced pear, walnuts and some curly kale leftovers from the Christmas dinner. Highly recommend!
The mic system is pretty expensive. But I can use it for tons of things. Interviews, recording myself talking in third person from the headset with no post processing needed, use it as a wireless headphone cable, use as a field recorder for SFX recordings and much more. I told myself at least π
3/3
This is how the setup looks like:
1. Plugin the receiver in the Quest using USB-C. Activate external microphone support under experimental settings.
2. Place the two wireless mics on either side of the piano.
3. Record video in the headset with microphone audio on. Done! 2/3
Got myself a RΓΈde Wireless Pro this Christmas. So tried recording some piano in wide stereo directly on my Quest 3 while playing Loop One: Done. And then dubbing with voice over afterwards with the same mic. Worked flawless! Just plug n play.

Merry Christmas! And congrats!
Iβm happy that Loop One: Done was mentioned among the Best Early Access MR titles this year by @uploadvr.com. But @laserdancegame.bsky.social is an obvious winner this year! Congrats Thomas on a great game! Well deserved! β€οΈ

Haha yeah! Iβm at my parents farm for the Christmas holiday, so had to get some filming done while Iβm here. The weather is lovely but cold outside right now. Frost on all trees, but no snow yet.
