In our current exhibition you will find this portrait of St. Dunstan with 'The Tempter' perched upon his crozier. 🖼️
St. Dunstan famously had several encounters with the Devil, including the moment he seized him with red-hot tongs, while living as a hermit at Glastonbury.

Once owned by Archbishop Randall Davidson during his childhood, this wooden horse is one of the largest artefacts we have. 🐴

Happy new year from all of us at Lambeth Palace Library! At the start of the year, we opened 1505 records from 1995, including material from the Turnbull Papers, Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, Archbishop Carey and the Church Buildings Council.
📢Lambeth Palace Library will be closed from Tuesday 23rd December until Monday 5th January.📢
There is also no Saturday opening in January, the first of these will be the 7th February.
