Ah ok thank you
Will there be a zoom/teams meeting as well, or is this in person only?
Sounds like a plan
Come at me. I love to argue more than anyone I've ever met. It's the best sport in the world
My most recent unwrap() in production was a next() call on an iterator with a compile time known, fixed length and I'm still paranoid about this.
Glad to see Burn mentioned! Big fan of their work. Currently using it to run some experiments with a CNN feature extractor as a frontend for an HDC inference layer.
Anyway if you or anyone else in this thread have Rust questions feel free to DM me
It's great to see the new Dyalog v20.0 features generating such excitement! See www.youtube.com/watch?v=recw... for Conor Hoekstra's enthusiastic review of the new compositional operator behind ( β ). #Dyalog #APL #APLProgramming #BehindOperator

Just read it. I've always been partial to extreme ownership in professional orgs, and I agree that sense can so easily be eroded by LLMs if the scope of responsibility isn't explicitly laid out like this.
New with Dyalog v20.0: Array notation, a literal syntax for most arrays (including nested and high-rank arrays) and namespaces, allows you to write and manipulate literal arrays in a way that was not possible before. Watch: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F5I... #Dyalog #APL #APLProgramming #ArrayNotation

Hey, I have a Bevy contributor who speaks Chinese with limited English skills. Can I have some help translating and mentoring in github.com/bevyengine/b... ?
@omicscode.bsky.social That sounds great! I'm in. What platform do you prefer I reach out on? Your DMs on Bluesky are turned off.
That's why I'm so interested in Burn, I'd love to do exploratory ML work in Rust as well. I'd be willing to work on an open source project of yours if you're up for some mentoring. I'm trying to educate myself on ML right now and that would probably be the most straightforward way to do it.
I think the problem I have with just on the job training (although it is really great) is that it's limited in scope to just things that can be applied immediately. Like how would I be able to learn about cylindric algebra for and its applications in GPU computing "on the job" for example?
I also prefer rust over other languages, but have to use Python and Go quite a bit still
Do you have any opinions on the Burn framework? Looks promising
I like to call this style of writing "Catholic deacon ran out of ideas for the sermon so just decided to reword the same thing 40 times."
Version 20 also includes the much anticipated Conorbinators, politely repurposed from BQN! Very excited, can't wait to try it out
Hey wanna trade? I'm a Rust engineer who wants to learn about digital music tools for gamedev background tracks
Proud of my state. That is all.
Esp-hal 1.0 is officially out of beta and ready to go! So excited to see further stabilization and work on embedded Rust libraries, especially libraries that are officially backed by the chip set vendor themselves!
Ah ok that makes sense. Will keep an eye out for similar jobs that don't have that requirement.
