Sorry for disappearing for a while, but thanks for the ratings in our silly little casino time loop game :)
Since Valve was ambivalent in their statement, we need a strong leader: is GIF pronounced with a hard G or a soft J?

in 2023 I played a game called "he fucked the girl out of me", its delisted on itch now.
it's a game about a woman's experience of being pushed into sex work and the trauma it brought her, its also a Gameboy rom.
The impact it had on me changed what I thought games could be.
Please yellat.money
Well this is a hell of a time to have a support ticket open for a deindexed itch game lmao
I guess the GMTK jam is soon. I'll disappear for a week and come back with something else and we'll see how that goes.
A much more fleshed-out version of The Overbreak Report is near completion, and I'm kind of at a crossroads of where to dedicate my time. I feel ready for my first steam release, but a viral hit on itch would tell me which direction to go. This totally could've been that if it wasn't cut short.
I've gotten a lot of really positive feedback about the game, people have been sending me their creations, people keep themselves entertained for hours...it has the juice, you know? I know how I'd continue this, and I feel like I kind of have to. But it'd be so nice to have the momentum of players.
I wrote to support the next day but after looking at some stories of the same thing happening to others, I'm worried it could be a long time. The natural traffic the game got (and continued to get) does not seem to have given it any priority so far. It's so demotivating to see the momentum disappear
I changed the project status from "in development" to "released" since I realized I forgot to do it following playtesting, and poof, gone. Missing from discovery pages, can't search for it any more. I feel very burned by the platform. Some docs said to give it an hour, some said a day.
Alright uh, I was hopeful it was going to get fixed quickly, but the game's been un-indexed on itch for days now, since a few hours after release. Was sitting at #1 new & popular in its genre tags and #11 on the entire site at the time of removal. Don't know how to feel about the project right now.
This week I’m delighted to announce Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 1: Re-raptored… and that’s it’s not made by Strange Scaffold.
Follow @pedalboard.games, wishlist it on Steam, and check out Project Share, our next foray into exploring methods of sustainability!!

Thanks for playing! The original plan was one node per grid cell, but a robust system seemed hard and I didn't want to do it half-heartedly, so I decided stacking is a "feature"
And it feels so nice when you squish a group of nodes into the edge of a chunk and they all spring back one by one... 😌
My incremental factory game [graph_harvest] is out now! This was a fun solo project, I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Consume a world of shapes as you build a portable node-based factory to rack up bigger and bigger numbers!

The only things that should have code execution are those that absolutely need it. A save file does not need to be anything but pure data. Users should be able to expect others' save files to be pure data. I want to be able to receive save files from players if they encounter issues! 😵💫 😮💨
I was already side-eyeing everyone that used Resources for game saves despite knowing its security risks, but I just implemented game saves using dictionaries/JSON for the first time in a few hours and now I'm side-eyeing them even harder #godot
(new factory/incremental game dropping tomorrow btw!)
My secret sauce is making GIANT textures in substance designer and slapping them on models using triplanar mapping + a random offset so you get loads of non-repeating variation 🙂↕️
Clay says it's possible, but I can't figure it out after poking around for a bit. All I got was either the plain old depth buffer or (really cool looking) uninitialized memory
We are currently cooking up a post-jam version! Take a look at the WIP Break Room rework 👀
