Brighton Marathon Weekend is always special; the city was buzzing, and the weather was great.

Didn't hit the 40 mins I was looking for.
Too many bottlenecks and crowding at the start lost me a minute or so. Once I knew that was off I relaxed in to just enjoying the day!

So true. I was in the same mindset last year for a 1:30 half and did it in 1:29:45. Raceday boost is real!

Currently training to do a Sub-40 10k beofre I'm 40.
Came down here in 2021. It's wonderful, at the end of my road I can turn left and run to the seafront in 15 mins turn right and it's a 15 minute run to the South Downs. Such a great vibe and good people down here.
Currently training for a Sub 40 minute 10k with race day on April 6th so in the peak of upping pace at the moment.
Much better day! Intervals are tough but rewarding.

Easy run today.
Testing out the Runna app, I like the interface and plan setting.
Anyone out there have any experience with it? Is it worth using long term? How does it hold up against Garmin?

Great Album. Remember seeing them supporting The Boxer Rebellion at the Camden Barfly a week or so before this album came out.
I'm feeling the training ramp up now. I'm adding in 20 minutes of yoga before bed and extra morning strength sessions. Sub 40 before 40 is well and truly on!

Never let running become a chore. If it feels like it is you need to determine what made it becone a chore. Once you know what that is switch that part up, is it the weather? Do some indoor training, is it a tough training regime? Look at adjusting it. Is it an injury? Take a break.
