Me too.
I don't really know what to make of this. Like... yes, that's why tens of millions of us (including me) voted for you: because we knew Trump and Republicans were going to unleash hell on us if you lost.
If you're gonna twerk to classical I got the perfect song for you because it's called hoe-down

1812 overture is literally exhibit 2 in my "look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power" argument lol
Canons are fired during the a special rendition of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture Solonnelle, Op. 49, played by the Army Band, Pershing's Own, and the US Army Military District at the Sylvan Theatre, Washington, DC. ORG XMIT: 129631 (Photo by Jahi Chikwendiu/The The Washington Post via Getty Images)
>punchy percussion
Look what they needed to mimic a fraction of our power (these are literal percussion instruments being used during the 1812 overture):
An octobass, three times as tall as a human, one of the largest instruments ever created, because there's just not enough low-end in art music.
>Low end
Look what they needed to mimic a fraction of our power:
Good girl.
Thanks! Wanted to check first.
I don't think it's a bad thing to care about your friends. Hey, slightly random question, if you said something that I really, really agreed with, would you be okay if I simply responded with "good girl" or would you not like me to use that language with you since we don't know each other?
There are a lot of weirdos, creepers, and abusers out there, and the myth that hypnosis can't be used abusively needs to *die* because that just invites the bastards to step out of line, so I'm glad you're keeping an eye out for her.
We spent like an hour building up a risk profile too, all the dos and don'ts, what to do in case of disassociation, all those potential risks that exist. All for a relatively short session that was just about relaxation.
I'm really glad to hear she's got people like her looking out for her.
And yeah, she's *absolutely* into some heavy stuff but there's no way I'm doing *ANY* of that in a first session with a subject I've never played with before. This was just a very, very light fractionation event to get her happy and floaty and to literally nothing else.
Literally *just* said goodnight to a very happy, very relaxed Mira. Her alarm is set, and she did her whole night-time routine before we started.
One of the risks with recreational hypnosis is someone falling asleep, so we just decided to do it with her lying comfortably in bed just in case.
Meme Words read, "I wouldn't hypnotize Mira in a discord call" remixing the "you wouldn't download a car" anti-piracy advertisement.
As always, this meme is a lie, but before we started the event I was given permission by @folktunes.bsky.social to post this.
We just had a lovely time, and she's safe in bed drifting off to sleep now.
@inyourculture.bsky.social I am so fucking glad I follow you, bug.
Sometimes I get to see your beautiful face.
Sometimes I get to experience your sense of humor
Sometimes I get to have funny conversations
Sometimes I get to have THE BEST MUSIC suggested to me that I wouldn't have found otherwise
Infinite thoughts in infinite variations snap together with the rhythm.
The stereo separation, the elements coming from all sides, the vocals like an echo on the wind and a cyberpunk invocation at the same time..
The song just ended.
I *love* your music. It takes me places.
Synths like ethereal bar chimes and rhythmic tones that sync perfectly with the speed of my thoughts. I'm dancing in a club. I'm piloting a mech and slaughtering fascists. I'm lying with my lover and watching the sunset. I'm running hand and hand with her through neon-lit city streets.
I could hug you!
I'm listening to Neon and Starlight now. I love the layers you weave through all of this. I'm sometimes annoyed by certain things in certain EDM, but every single element in this is "yes yes yes YES YES YES."
have u listened to my new track yet ? its pretty good, and also its bandcamp Friday, so if you buy it you can support me directly :)
This does things to my brain that I love.
One day I will own all of your music.
I'll listen to all of it on repeat while I write.
I've got no money right now but this earned a follow, and you're on my list of music to buy when I've got the dosh.
@inyourculture.bsky.social is right, this *fucking* slaps.
If my writing ever takes off and I start reading it aloud into youtube, I'll talk to you about commissioning music for it.
it
FUCKING
SLAPS
Damnit Bug, stop warning them!
I've got a stack of recipes from "To serve Man" that I'm intending to try out.
Those are the fruits of social and religious conservatism.
Conservatives talk about family values because they don't actually have any.
They're turning to fascism because they're running out of other people to blame for the problems that they cause.
And that is where we are in the US and the UK.
The assassination of Dr. George Tiller in his own church on a Sunday morning, the torture of trans people in federal custody, the medical experimentation on trans people that current federal policies represent, the forced sterilization of queer and trans people across the world, all of these evils?
There's the warning about the ravenous wolves.
The pain, the death, the support for the most vile evils imaginable, the assaults on our bodies, the cruelty to immigrants, the kidnapping of innocent children, the obliteration of innocents with weapons of doom, terrorist attacks, clinic bombings...
I think a lot about the scripture I grew up reading. I've read the bible in its entirety so many times. There's as much (or more) good there as there is evil. There's war, rape, and genocide in scripture.
And at the end there's "the least of these, my brothers." There's "you did it unto me."
And the thing that makes me insane is when they talk about the concept to which they give the lying name "family values," they blame the harms that THEY cause TO us ON us.
Divorce. Suicide. They are the culprits and the causative element. But they blame everyone else for the evil they do.
There will still be cases where people take longer to know themselves, and that's okay!
A lot of queer folks are late bloomers.
But I think there would be less of that if we let kids ask themselves who they are, if they know that there are options other than comphet, compcis bullshit.
These conservatives talk about family values, but to steal the religious language they like to use, you'll know what is good by the fruit it produces.
The fruits of conservativism and attacks on queer children are broken families, divorce, pointless agony and suffering, and it's all unnecessary.
