Those lectures you're talking about, are any of them in western Europe by any chance?

I need to come back to this because of a neat little change openAi made. I no longer type continue. I click links gpt suggests itself. I am literally clicking through options. Lots of Is in this msg for the fact that I actually do hardly anything anymore.
Oh I've recently discovered the hobby of "creating" characters for role playing games with GenAI.
I'm barely doing more than typing *continue*. I'm not creating anything. I merely throw a half-baked idea at it and then I watch. And yes, I am entertained. But I haven't created a damn thing.
I am so convinced we, that is urban folk, need more of this. Modes of play that make it accessible for us to think about how **we want** the city around us to be and feel.
Looking forward to this - and more of this!!
From a players perspective I've always found a sort of double bite structure most convenient to follow. Take your picture: in your rules paragraph about circular, mention reasoning. Follow with the explainer on reasoning, mention works, works because, because circular.
When you say icehouse, do you mean old ice skating rigs or block ice storage halls? Only recently I found out these storage halls existed and I'm fascinated by that discovery.
Why do we think things like moltbook and claws ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ are a good thing?
Why do we give personal data to a neural network accessing the internet and vulnerable to prompt injection on telegram?
Hence the low penetration of ice agents in heavily forested areas
Oh I'm already more than curious if an economy game is even 10% lethal league. The two genres really don't have much overlap so any exploitation of whatever little space there is sounds more than interesting!
3/3 with the ship pals and Adam atoms cards you're not even terribly far off the lethal league style.
So, now I pray for a game that's lets me combo wombo yeet enemies out of the economy:D
2/3actually. what I mean is either LOTS of money tokens I can cash in and pile up, or a big RA-like wooden thing I can bang on the table and shout BANK!
Also, this is a specific reference but the cover reminds me of a smash bros like PC game called lethal league. Maybe that's your soundtrack?
1/2 I'm not in the business. Just following along a little, so this would be a customers pov: I like the invest deliver bank tagline with the explosion cover. It does make me read the Tag line more like invest. deliver. BANK!!
So I'd hope to have something in the game that *feels* A LOT.
I might be wrong but isn't it also no longer a roundabout? I propose Schuman slab yard
Some of those seem familiar. As if I've seen them before. As if they were my..
Because I am quite curious in what molly house does for a game I am designing rn: what's it that makes it "only" an 8 for you?
Lovely stuff man thanks a lot. Looking forward to trying it out!
Anatomy of a nonbiological thing
In this one-part post I complain about the fact that there are TOO MANY books and series and blogs called the anatomy of x. I'm no metaphysical physician, so why is your every story a metaphor of a body?
EU, on we go, we've got work to do. A law needs passing!
That's a curious one! I like it! Thanks for that :)
Thanks Eric! I've never quite gotten used to playing boardgames digitally, particularly struggling to love tts. But I'll give BGA a try, thanks!
It's been a lovely welcome so far, love it here! :)
I was surprised to see Tom rate it so highly!
I haven't played the tokc myself yet, but I've heard you guys and many others draw parallels to the Leder games. And I don't recall Tom being a huge fan of any of them.
So if you want, you can now say you've beaten them to the punch ;)
Ah that's lovely, thanks a lot! I'll check out his stuff.
I'm awfully new to the game dev world and I feel like I've somehow fallen into a very deep hole here. But since I'm here, does anyone mind sharing who or what this Clowdus guy is about? It's been the third time this week I see them pop up here on my feed :)
To all game devs, board game devs in particular.
I'm as new as it gets to the game developing world.
Any advice on how to play test existing games without having to purchase all of them?
As in, I'm curious about the market mechanics in 3 games but not the games themselves.
Thanks in advance!
Little late and really only one cat in there. But if you're planning to raise a vicious monster, perch may be fun.
last year at Essen, there was this kid from Holland making a cynical anti capitalist game, "Davos" I think. The game was simple enough, the art was AI but it almost had to be. Playing the game of making a game about playing the game of capitalism. It fit. But thats the only time I ever liked ai art.
Line of the day: hold that thought because I cannot hold the poop.

Seriously, what do they do to teachers in training? Those poor souls drained of all creative will and flexibility.
