I was a high school teacher for years. Shocking how many students thought they knew more than me! In retirement, I’ve taken one masters of theology course and it mainly taught me that I know NOTHING about theology. The more you learn, the more that you know you need to learn.

Such a good point. I used to order from the Bay but it’s closed now too. I’m still ordering from Costco - not ideal but at least not Amazon. If as many stop as can, it will help. And hopefully more ethical companies will become available to small towns!
We stopped using Amazon November 2024 (the day after the election) and it has been tricky to replace a few of the things that we used to buy from them but overall it’s been great! And we spend less because a lot of our Amazon purchases were unnecessary. Better on all levels to have stopped Amazon.

That’s a good point. Also the evangelical churches can teach that if you are not blessed by God you are being punished (not a valid Christian view - an older archaic belief system IMO) so they may blame the vaccines so they don’t have to accept that God is punishing them for something.
I’m finding this execution of a boat full of people terrifying. As a Canadian, what’s stopping him from deciding to bomb anything on land or sea here if he decides that it is full of drugs? No one should be complicit in this unlawfulness.

Gun laws will work - it worked before in the US and it works in other countries. They just care more about their guns than their kids - it’s that simple. Absolutely heartbreaking.
