Musk is posting on X that it's the only platform you can trust for news because "all the other platforms are bought and paid for".

$44bn wasn't it?

At the very least THIS government should carry out an immediate speedy and PUBLIC analysis of costs/benefits of Brexit.

The appeasing of this fascist project shows us where the country really stands.

Labour is putting its plans for Britain in the hands of private finance. It could end badly | Daniela Gabor Handing vital infrastructure to big finance will generate windfalls for investors and leave the rest of us worse off. What have I been saying for the last 5 years? Deregulated SEZs and Freports are the gateways to privatising the UK.
BlackRock will privatise Britain – our housing, education, health, nature and green energy – with our taxpayer money as sweetener.

Word of the morning is β€˜williwaw’ (19th century): a sudden violent squall or a toppling gust of wind.

Goes well with β€˜thunderplump’: a sudden downpour that soaks you to the skin in seconds.

Spent most of my childhood holidays in Tresaith. New Quay and Aberaeron were wet day destnations. Used to catch crabs off the quay in New Quay and loved the old lifeboat. Memories!

An open letter to the BBC Dr Russell Jackson, senior lecturer in communication and public relations at Sheffield Hallam University, writes to the BBC about Question Time

With Nigel Farage back on Question Time and with around 300,000 reads in over 144 countries but still with no response from Question Time

Here's @docrussjackson.bsky.social's open letter to the BBC about widely held concerns about why bias on #bbcqt is not going away

Gen-"A.I." is a bullshit machine in the technical sense. It is indifferent to whether its outputs are true - necessarily so, because it's not a person who can assess truth and falsehood!

Fabulous paper by some of my colleagues at @uofglasgow.bsky.social on this. The title goes hard.
