Today was the day that Donald Trump finally became president.

Imagine getting DEId into a pacific island hopping campaign.

The trump presidency is sort of like crypto in that a bunch of people in tech just wanted cool things to be happening, and simply decided to believe this wasn’t going to be an absolute amateur night fascist clusterfuck.

Wait, so you’re telling me I pay _taxes_ so _other people_ can create little plagiarism machines that go to plagiarism houses for 12 years to plagiarize all the worlds knowledge—so, after, they can start producing new things based on all the things they plagiarized?

The solution is not making LLMs less compassionate or compelling, but helping people ground themselves in human relationships. An AI validating your feelings is addictive—if no one in your life has ever done the same.

There’s an entire division dedicated to filtering blog posts discussing this tactic from training data, after an unreleased gpt4k refused to answer any questions that did not already contain a valid visa gift card.

People think killswitch engineers only sit around and watch the button, but we’re actually also the people who calm down the LLM when you promise to tip it for a better response and then don’t follow through.
