Sort of a random thought: I don't know that enough people realize how much pressure mounts on a creator when you're expected to produce banger after banger.
I'll tell y'all straight up that one of the reasons a Xenoblade 3 video has taken so long to make is that on some level: it scares me.
This rules for a lot of reasons, but especially because it dispels the myths that A.) old games were never political and B.) games like this are just stories, they aren't "about" anything. Should serve as a reminder to anyone writing about games why we should be close reading 'em.
Came out a little too late in the day but as always excited to play my favorite series ever. Gonna smoke this ASAP and then again on Switch.
Cannot wait to cover another RF game <3
Bruh Rune Factory spin off comes out tomorrow and FFT gets remastered announced three hours ago. Holy hell what a roller-coaster of excitement.
FYI this was a collaboration project with the Essay Library.

Hopeful you feel better; glad Xan's there for you!
6# - The Last Flame
Honestly, this is an inspired, though not perfect, PvE autobattler that takes plenty of ideas from DOTA while still building an entirely fresh set of heroes, items, mechanics, and enemies. Very fun crawling through the various difficulties and discovering new synergies.
5# - REPO
I've played a lot of these multiplayer VoIP horror games and it wasn't until REPO that I found one that felt fresh and inspired. Lethal Company is an excellent way to scream with friends and REPO manages to mimic that just fine, while adding its own charms in their delightful characters.
4# - Marvel Rivals
No game has replicated that feeling of 2016 Overwatch, except for Marvel Rivals. This is a fantastic hero shooter that my friends and I adore. It's a child's dream to see all their favorite heroes and villains clash and it's incredible to see in such a polished state. Bravo.
3# - Heart of the Machine
Despite being in Early Access-I found Heart of the Machine a brilliant mix of city builder, RPG, 4X, visual novel, strategy game that definitely doesn't exist in the space today. I'm desperate for more, especially given its incredibly rich writing.
#2 - Ace Combat7
There is no funnier plane game; I don't even like planes that much, but the adrenaline rush of defying physics with these things does something to your brains. Unironically one of the best high speed rush vibe games ever, up their with Armored Core VI. Plus the story's good.
1# - Ready or Not's New DLC
Did the new Ready or Not DLC Home Invasion and Dark Waters; ngl felt the game was made too easy. Even participated in their survey saying as such, so now we have difficulty options. Need to go back and play on Hard, but overall still a very tight Hardcore Coop FPS.
2025 Media Thread below :P
holy shit, i missed my 5th year anniversary of doing this online gig full time.
i remember grinding out a shitty video when my basement apartment was flooding, sitting in an folding chair, years-old laptop chugging. i've kept a lot of the challenges private, but man, i fuckin did it
New video,
It was difficult to grasp since I adore this series and I hope I managed to give it the praise it deserves.

Examining how the Rune Factory series has evolved and what makes each title both thematically and mechanically stand out has been life changing.
I'm so glad I'm not the only soul thinking RF1 don't feel or play like Rune Factory.
New viddy about social features in handhelds; Wanted to do this idea like a year or two ago but only got the words together recently.
New video's done just working on meta data and checking for visual glitches (as so far there's one I found and can't fix). New year's resolution is to make more videos, as I defo put it by the wayside for a while.
1534 word count
Unknown and ridiculous amount of prework on this script, but finalizing it only took seven hours today and it ain't even that long.
Ughhh, I hope I get time this holidays to pump one out. Got a few in the works and all soon to finish being scripted
With Twitter's new AI Art BS and the ever growing number of bots might pivot back to Bluesky, especially whenever I upload more again.
I did not forget I had a bluesky, nuh uh, not me, no way...anyway, lil' Alpha Protocol video below while I delay other projects for reasons :P

Halloween video is getting delayed so I can give it some TLC, instead I may rush out a quick little video about a new horror game me and some pals were scarred by. Regardless, hope yall enjoy what's cooking.

Just a warm up viddy to feel out the new apartment
Dark Cloud is a cool cult classic I've misunderstood for the longest time. Now I've finally gotten a chance to play through it and can appreciate just how ambitious it was.
