I sure hope this means MAGA will start believing these “truths”
I finally got my weaving tattoo. It was inked on Thanksgiving day. #tattoo #fiberarts #weaving #spinning

18 for me. 19 if airport counts. Never been to Miami.
Didn’t realize Canada also did this. I was born in the 70s and questioned why my grandmother’s credit card was in her deceased husband’s name.
Columbus never even landed on the soil of what we now call the United States. I live in New Mexico, where we celebrate and honor, 23 beautiful indigenous tribes.
My week in fiber: kitchen towels on the 8 shaft loom, spinning tweed top, Ari sitting on a rigid heddle woven pillow and bookmarks on the inkle. Whew.

I read your book! and my weaving professor wrote the review on your book for Shuttle, Spindle, & Depot. Is Canada taking in weaver refugees yet?

I had a helper this afternoon while warping up some Fall themed bookmarks.

Whee!

It’s Saori time. I put on a 30 meter warp which is 1,181 inches, so I figured I could get 18 scarves out of it. Here’s scarf 1. Cotton warp, Superbaby Alpaca, fine merino, silk, and misc. wool roving for weft.

From the Pattern Work on 4 Shafts workshop, shown are several rows of Birds Eye pattern from Marguerite Davidson book, under tension on an Ashford table loom.
On the Kairos Inkle loom, rainbow warp to be made into lanyards.
From the Learn to Spin on Spinning Wheel workshop, wool/alpaca.
I’m finally getting back to fiber arts after a few months of buying a house, moving, house almost burning down, mom in hospital, rescuing her cat, refereeing fights between my cat and mom’s cat, my trans son moving in and whew…trying to squeeze in a few workshops. #weaving #spinning
Yay!
Happy Caturday. We are still unpacking boxes, 8 days later.

Should I leave the United States?
Several rows of red weft threads are being woven with green warp threads under tension
I should be packing (move is Friday) I determined that the first time I weave on my new loom shouldn’t be on the first day of a three day workshop in June, so I went to the art studio and unpacked the warping board and threw on a little mini project to test everything out.

Another company to add to your boycott list. I’m guessing they didn’t see the Target memo.
Liberal GenX here. I have never voted for a republican in my life, and I was raised by racist conservatives, and was in the military, and I’m queer. I think it’s the one third of eligible voters that didn’t even vote that failed us.
Ari is hogging the remote on this #caturday
Guess we’ll be watching Cat TV all night.

Table loom nearly assembled sits on a table
My new Ashford 24” 8 Shaft Table loom arrived today from New Zealand. Assembled her with the help of a friend and YouTube.
Worked on her from 10am to 4pm, then a little more before and after dinner.
But that duck only has two legs!
Close up of a Turkish spindle with spun wool
I finally got a Turkish spindle. I’ve been wanting one for a while. Here’s my first attempt with merino sliver.

Poor Ari. Got caught up in the arm of my sweater.

Love this!
Interesting how one chart is colored blue and the other is red. Those who wear a red hat might want to remember this come midterms.
I started with chapter 1 Straight Twills from this book.
She does spend a lot of time sleeping on that chair, even though she has a really nice hammock only feet away.

She’s ready to finish weaving.
