Larra, preparing for the finale of The Great American Pop Culture Quiz Show, wearing her headset and three sparkly tiaras.
It’s important to attend podcast tapings in proper headwear.
This was super fun and I was so happy I was invited to play!
I grew up on the west coast and moved to the east coast for law school and this was one of the most actually jarring changes. “The superbowl is… at night? Why?” Growing up, I got to watch whatever show they put after the game in actual prime time and it was nice.
A freshly groomed little fluffy grey, white, and black puppy sitting on a rug and staring up at the camera, looking adorable.
Checking in with the puppy and… still adorable.
I had never been “in trouble” with a teacher before and was mortified and my father was far too amused with the whole thing to not keep making jokes about it.
Dan, this also happened to me! My parents had to come to a special conference to get my confiscated novels back from my fifth grade teacher.
A small grey, black, and white puppy sitting on a rug next to his pink bone chew toy and looking sweetly up at the camera.
Puppy looking cute today (and every day)
A very cute and fluffy grey, black, and white puppy staring at the camera while being held in a person’s arms.
A very cute and fluffy grey, black, and white puppy standing on a hardwood floor looking at the camera with his soulful little eyes
A very cute and fluffy grey, black, and white puppy playing with a toy shaped like a wizard’s hat.
A very cute and fluffy grey, black, and white puppy rolled over on his tummy on the couch, next to a person’s leg.
We got a puppy.
You can hear Ari make his canon submission in this episode! He talks about time travel, transplants, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. (All areas of his expertise)
Two large red and green nepenthes pitchers dangling in front of a window.
An open red nepenthes pitcher with a candy cane green peristome in front of a hanging planet basket, hanging from a window.

This particular nepenthes plant has always been my slowest grower but I think it’s really happy with the move because there’ve been an explosion of new pitchers since I hung it in this window.
The real issue is that you’d read much too quickly for these lollygaggers. You’ll have to satisfied with being inadvertently partially responsible for the whole enterprise.
Wait, we talk about Nerd Book Club in public now? In front of DAN??
It’s unethical that COVID is frequently left out of conversations about public transport accessibility. Many disabled and higher risk people haven’t been able to access public transport for years due to the lack of masks and clean air. This is a huge equity issue.
I was on the final episode of my favorite podcast! I’ve loved getting to play on TGAPCQS and was honored to be in the finale with Ilan and Monty: usaquizshow.com/podcast/spec...
screenshot from a Tweet by me that reads” My latest column for @TeenVogue on the latest surge, how high risk people have been abandoned by the Biden administration, & why I won’t be voting this election w/ quotes from @/tinu @/AngelaMSWinCA & @/Christine_ScD” Underneath is a photo of an empty shelf at a drugstore with a few COVID-19 text kits. Below is the title of the article, “COVID Isn’t Going Anywhere. Masking Could Save My Life
In my latest column for Teen Vogue I wrote about the latest surge, my disappointment with the Biden administration and Democratic party & how so many high risk people have been abandoned by the state:

Idk man sometimes bad things happen to people I don’t like and I think that’s pretty great
If you are not wearing a mask, I don't trust your political views on anything. It's the easiest and most radical thing anyone can be doing right now. I refuse to be in any sort of relationship with people who won't do it.
A man (Ari) in a hospital gown and mask laying in a hospital bed waiting for surgery.
Ari is finally getting his transplant! I am so happy and relieved (and still stressed out).
Had a really productive therapy session today where I think I managed to convince my therapist that “Pacific Rim” is in fact a good, fun movie.
