Creator of dotenv and dotenvx here 🖐️. I get that software evolves and you have to keep moving forward. But a thought: it'd be great if npmx also offered a way to point people to dotenvx as a more secure next step. I think that'd offer a better balance than a one-way global deprecation notice.

We have enterprise builds that disable these commands at request. It's been useful for large companies trying to limit falllout.
