Run by Adam Smith. Same thing as on the other place but without having to put up with the pornbots and racists encouraged by the world's stupidest billionaire. Loads of #LFC content.

I guess I just think that what happened in the summer with Jota was SO impactful that I have no idea what is down to the reaction to that, what is because of the imbalanced squad & what is Slot’s fault. I don’t think the league win was fluke, but no question things aren’t right on the pitch.

I also wonder to what extent they physically can’t put any more in than they are because of the disrupted pre-season & associated lack of fitness in the months since. The players seem to be playing within themselves, with lack of substitution options compounding the issue.

As I say in the piece, I think there are LOADS of reasons why our season is what it is, of which Slot is one. I just don’t think he was the problem on Tuesday night, so I’m surprised that’s the game that has pushed many over the edge. I have *zero* idea how to assess this season reasonably.

Maybe it is. Maybe the club will replace him in the summer. Personally, I’m glad we aren’t the kind of club to be booting a title winning manager out of the door because he’s struggling, this season of all seasons.

"Quick, blame the manager!" shouts Virgil van Dijk, after being meek in the challenge for Wolves' first. "I agree!" chimes in Mo Salah, following his poor pass to Szoboszlai. "Me too!" agrees Curtis Jones in the wake of his pass to Alisson. Read more here: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...

Don’t even know where to start with that utter bullshit.

I could easily be convinced into a conspiracy theory that the Premier League would rather someone other than us or City won the title & are ignoring all sorts of shenanigans from Arsenal to make it happen.

That’s what they are virtually every game. Certainly when it comes to time wasting. Gang of meffs.

There are a lot of comparison you’ve made there that don’t stand up to scrutiny. Ekitike isn’t a wide player. Diaz was & we’ve lost his pace & not replaced it. Isak was always going to struggle given his downing tools before arriving. The squad is unbalanced.

Not saying you, I’m saying people in general. He won the league last season but at the first sign of trouble the knives were out for him. I’m not sure that counts as brilliant support, personally.

There are far too many things wrong with #LFC this season to suggest that it should all be laid at Arne Slot's door. He hasn't been perfect, but nobody has been & blaming the entire thing on the Dutchman lets too many players off the hook. Read more: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...

That’s Set-Pieces FC with the title sewn up, then. I obviously despise 130 Charges FC, but Mikel Arteta has dragged the Premier League back to the days of Tony Pulis & Big Sam. I don’t think it’s good for the next few years of the league overall that his tactics will be rewarded with a title.

We have no options on either wing. We haven’t replaced Diaz.

Or he’s had an insanely difficult season that very few managers would’ve been able to cope with any better than him. We simply don’t know, but I’m disappointed by how many people are almost desperate to throw a league winning manager under the bus.

Everyone said it at the start of the season. Very few people are saying it now.

Yeah, I just couldn’t be bothered to say “three-quarters of the way through the season” and assumed you’d get my meaning. He won the league. He’s had to guide his squad through the loss of a teammate & had his team decimated. He deserves the whole season for me.

So many things have gone wrong for #LFC this season, some of which are understandable given what happened in the summer & some of which simply aren't acceptable. Last night falls more into the latter category, but blaming it all on Slot is too easy. More: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...

I’m quite sure that will all be part of the thinking in the summer, but I don’t think doing that midway through the season is the right way to handle it. He won the title when *everyone* said we’d fall apart once Jürgen left, so he deserves to leave out the front door in the summer.

I think it is basically impossible to analyse this season because of the loss of Jota. We don’t know how much the poor play at the start of the season was down to that. The likes of last night might not be linked, but it all merges into one in our minds.

04.03.2026 17:54 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

Yeah, which is why I said he’s had a “far from blameless season” and I discuss where he’s gone wrong in the article.

The point is that the idea that it’s all his fault is nonsense. We started both halves well, then the players went back into themselves.

The #LFC manager has had a far from faultless season, but blaming him for results like last night lets the players off the hook. It wasn't tactics, it was just underperformance from players who should be so much better. Read more: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...

NEW: A little bit of LGBTQ+ #sportsmedia history was made during LGBT+ History Month in February, as Mike Minay made his Match of the Day debut. 📺⚽️🌈

A DM sent to Mike showed why the moment matters - “it opened my eyes… by me being in the position I am, there’s a case of ‘see it, be it’.”

I think it’s a tricky one. If you don’t rate a player, you aren’t going to trust him to start games. There’s obviously something he’s seeing in training from Ramsey that means he feels we’ll be actively weaker if he plays him instead of doing what he’s doing. Same with other squad players.

This season compares to 2020/21 far more than anybody wants to admit & the club has gone through far more adversity this season.

I feel a bit sorry for Slot because there's a lot of rose tinted viewing of recent seasons that were pretty poor.

04.03.2026 13:26 👍 3 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0

You’ve sent two things that effectively amount to “Yeah Jota died, but Slot’s shit & anyone using the death of Jota to defend him is making excuses.” You crack on attacking a league winning manager, I’ll continue to view this season with a touch more empathy.

04.03.2026 13:43 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I’d largely put myself in the same category, to be honest. I’m just not sure any sensible analysis of this season is useful, to be totally honest. From the moment the Jota news broke, nothing has been normal this season.

Really good point, that. Hadn’t even occurred to me, but the broadcaster I was watching spent about three minutes showing both sets of fans singing his name rather than the actual football.
