O propósito da arte é justamente a exploração das diferentes camadas dela. Aprender sobre o artista, o contexto, as referências. Entender que arte não é só o que é bonito esteticamente, e que sentimentos complexos fazem parte.
E essa é a mesma galera que adora desmerecer qualquer tipo de arte porque eles não gostam ou não é algo que a lavagem cerebral estadunidense ensinou pra eles sobre “arte”. Sem contar essa ansiedade e pressa que faz com que tudo tenha que ser explícito, desenhado.

Minha cidade natal, Canela no RS, tem um Festival Internacional de Bonecos que traz vários grupos de bonequeiros de vários lugares do Brasil e do Mundo. Já vi apresentações incríveis, tanto infantis quanto para adultos, e sempre me impressiono. Infelizmente não sei se ainda rola, o que é uma pena.

My grandparents worked in the field, and between other things they planted sugar cane. In Brasil we also learn a lot about slavery and here the sugar cane plantations used slavery as the main source as their workforce.
The visual cues were enough for the ones that have seen sugar cane plantations and workers. They use machetes, which is the main tool used to cut the sugar cane. Also, sugar cane is very abundant in the majority of Latin America, including Brasil.
