This family-friendly event brings our community together for an evening of solidarity and celebration. Featuring a raffle, silent auction, on-site tattooing, local food vendors, a kids craft table, music, and other small businesses and artists. Proceeds will provide direct support and essential resources to families navigating the financial and emotional challenges caused by detention and deportation. Together, we show up for one another. Because when hardship affects one of us, it affects us all. I overwintered a stunted starter from last year. The tiny pot got lost in other plants and somehow the tiny plant survived the entire year with incidental water and not enough light.

The label was faded, so we’ll see what fruits.

I once made and impromptu piñata for a children’s birthday party using what I had at hand: two-ply datacenter server boxes.

Tip: children lack the upper body strength to rip into cardboard meant to protect very expensive computers during freight shipping

But mainly: building out my basement craft workshop got delayed because I’ve not been using my car (for demo/build hauls) because it’s registered to some guy with a Mexican name.

Impromptu piñata builds are no-go until I sort out that halfway-through-shop-space-demo thing.

Of note, I’m not a contributing member of society; I’m just a simple lobbyist for Big Piñata, aka Gran Piñata LLP.

Suggestion: a piñata is essentially a cardboard replica, but with a rope loop dongle.
