At the intersection of "going to cook a nice steak dinner but didn't plan ahead" meets "well at least the smoke alarms didn't go off" is where my meal seems to have ended up

Never heard of a tornado emergency, is that a new thing? Would that be compatible with existing weather radios that only have advisory/watch/warning?

Ack at least use some cardboard to make the wires line up and tape instead of soldering

It was something I liked about a mustang machi E test drove (which is like the only other EV I have found available to test drive) it seemed to Coast like a regular car downshifting for the regeneration instead of extreme braking

I think that contributes to my being more car sick in Tesla's than other vehicles... Along with their abysmally anemic blower fan.

Also if someone steps out behind you without paying attention it takes longer to move from the accelerator to the brake than just push your foot down on the brake

I am not a fan of connectivity that is always on for anything kind of vehicle... If I end up with one that has always on connectivity I will probably be looking for what fuse I can pull or antenna disconnect. Been thinking this long before ev's

Come now...if they shot down an airliner they'd find some reason why it was supposedly actually full of <pick so-called bad people> and therefore had to be done...

Cis folks, Get Active if you aren’t already. Vote in the midterms and do our best to prevent conservative power. They are stripping the rights from our trans friends and will continue to do so unless we do something.

I know voting isn’t everything, but we gotta oust as many conservatives as we can

No AI features, no special app required. Can control all the features thru key combinations.

58v sounds like leakage, what's that look like with a lower impedance test? I can measure about 61V from my USB charger to earth. Try putting a lightbulb and measure the voltage and current thru it see if its more than say half a milliamp? Very curious now

I've never encountered any UPS that requires screws to access the battery contacts. My consumer grade ones its a sliding panel (no tools), the rack-mount ones at work you pull a cover off the front and the large Anderson plug with contacts is exposed directly.

23.02.2026 03:25 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

The UPS already has to have the transformer for the inverter anyway and many allow hot swapping batteries with user accessible easily opened covers.

They already need the components for other uses to make the product work so its no increase in parts costs

That's a wrap.

Bit confused, why would it be at mains voltage?

I'm familiar with bigger units that use 100-200V series packs but its still just HVDC not mains reference

I'm curious where you find the supposed $0.35/w solar panels? Most of what I've bought runs around $80 for 100W panels and the ones I've tried cheaper than that turn out to be fake or over-stated and often barely put out 1/10 of what they claim.

Dunno about others but when I am traveling for work I don't get enough extra to call it "disposable income" usually doesn't even cover cheap meals entirely. And I don't get a choice of vehicle...and its always far less capable than my own AWD car, often in worse condition than I maintain mine.

As I said... sometimes that's literally not an option. I hate delivery apps they charge unreasonable high prices before any tips. Should be $20 in fees and then suggest over 30% tip to take a $15 pizza 4 miles down the road for example

25.01.2026 23:13 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

There's a difference between wanting and needing to order something out. If its a want out of laziness then yeah better tip well. If its a newd because that's your last option is a very different situation.

25.01.2026 13:32 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

It may depend on the situation though - like when I am on business travel I get whatever rental they give me and if I got stuck at a hotel with something that's unable to get food myself still have to eat. And still only would get regular per-diem for food costs.

Internet when you stumble across an ad: FULL VOLUME HEY HERE'S A THING AND GOOD LUCK STOPPING IT

Internet when you intentionally try to play a video: *auto mutes video starting* *pauses video enlarging* *auto mutes video again resuming playback*
