While this is not 100% factually true, it happens a lot more than you realize.

One random example is a man named Ray Bloom. He started the largest corporate travel show, EIBTM. He sold it to Reed Travel and then started IMEX when his noncompete ended. Today, IMEX is the largest travel show.
