That last part is important: fancy 3D optics are the main bottleneck for AR glasses. It's what makes them expensive & hard to make.
But we don't really need them. All we need is a great camera & a great A.I. to go with it.
The industry will realize this within the next 1-2 yrs.
The AR space spent the last 20 yrs trying to augment the world when instead it should have been augmenting people.
People don't care about holograms. They care about being smarter, having better memory, etc.
Those are AR's killer apps. & we don't need 3D graphics for any of it.
