I watched Trump’s looneytunes press conference about the SCOTUS tariff ruling. The takeaways? A) he’s furious. B) he’s going to keep trying to levy tariffs. C) he couldn’t care less about working Americans.
But we knew that.

Think about students, renters, women who changed their names, and rural voters without easy access to records. The SAVE Act makes them prove citizenship with specific documents or lose their voice. The people already on the margins get pushed out completely.

At the very least, Congress must disarm ICE, prohibit it from using racial or ethnic profiling, end arrest quotas, remove agents’ immunity from criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits, and slash its funding. The Senate has the chance to rein in ICE this week.
