I recorded all kinds of stuff on the set of Iron Lung in an attempt to find sounds that I could design into something musical and interesting that fit the film.
This is how I got the idea for "Peel it Back".

A good portion of Iron Lung's soundtrack comes down to a theragun and random pieces of metal.
Granular synth is CAKED onto this album for that reason 😆
I think I get to say that I technically produced Markipliers industrial vocal debut.😆
Mark's voice made it onto the Iron Lung soundtrack for a short moment. He sent me a few clips of him screaming for to see if I could work them in somehow...of course I was able to 😎 Here is that process.
In just shy of two weeks since it's launch...

Getting my laptop setup to write demo's for my very first film score on the set of Iron Lung! The crew was full of just awesome and incredibly welcoming people and it really made for a great creative environment. It was f'n great!

Sure, you may feel fuckin goofy humming out ideas on your phones recorder on set of a movie... but the results were worth it.

"PTSD" was really just inspired by Marks performance. He portrays the "5 stages of grief" REALLY well but I personally identified with the specific scene this music was made for. He nails it and I wanted to do my best to make sure he had something to match it behind him.

"The Shakes" was written on set on my laptop about 50 ft away from Mark while he was performing the last shots of the film. After listening back to it we both agreed that it would be the motif of the film. It uses a piece of sheet metal being hit with a theragun for the lead.

I tried a new idea for the Iron Lung soundtrack. I took a bunch of samples of pieces of old iron/metal ect. being bent/twisted/vibrated and pitched them around in @presonus Studio One and put them in a granular synthesizer. They became the "strings" section for the soundtrack :-)
