Three people stand indoors holding signs that read βGaza Faces β Not Just Numbers.β Behind them are hanging banners covered in embroidered text. The atmosphere appears reflective and somber.
A person holds up a Sabeel-Kairos leaflet that reads βTaking Action for Palestineβ inside a church hall filled with seated attendees. The card also shows a prayer asking, βMy God, my God, why did you leave Gaza?β
People gather outside a church in a peaceful protest organized by Sabeel-Kairos, calling for justice and solidarity with Palestine.
A group gathers outdoors in a public square for a solidarity event. Participants form a circle, holding posters and a long white rope with red ribbon tied on to remember lives lost.
ποΈ Our Faith in Action worker Cat attended the Sabeel-Kairos 'From Lament to Liberation' conference - a powerful call to keep standing for Palestinian freedom and dignity.
As Revβd Ashraf Tannous reminded us: Jesus never stayed silent against injustice. π΅πΈ

On a white background, images related to banking surround text on a green smudge which reads: Tips for choosing an ethical student bank. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
The title on a green smudge reads: what to avoid. The body of the text reads: look out for 'perks' from high street banks. Many of the big banks will have perks to draw you in, whether this is railcards cash or discounts. There is then a table which shows banks, their perks and their ethical concerns
Text reads: if you're with one of the UK's major banks- barclays, santander, natwest, lloyds bank, halifax- you should consider switching- The ethical consumer guide.
The text reads Here are a few examples of ethical banks which offer student accounts. Nationwide is a building society which is not only ethical but offers a couple of perks for its student current account. The co-op also comes in the top three of the ethical consumers guide, and offers student accounts. Under the co-operative bank logo it reads: Regularly polls customers and stakeholders for a customer led ethical policy. Has a customer union that holds the bank to account: Save Our Bank.
Committed to not financing fossil fuels.
Works to protect human rights and equality, both in the UK and abroad.
Interest free over draft
One year to pay off your overdraft after you finish your course, without any interest. Under the nationwide logo it reads: Β£100 cash. Just Eat vouchers (worth Β£120 a year).
No charges for using debit card abroad
Second place in the ethical consumers guide to current accounts.
Building society not a bank
Pays all its employees a living wage.
π’ Going to uni in September? Already got a student bank account?
π· Here are some tips for switching and choosing an ethical bank. Ignore those 'perks' and choose something that aligns with your values!
