Some days its not about you jumping in to score points like there is an election happening. This is about the safety of women who have been treated like baggage.

I never stopped writing since I was 6. However my mothers family have some ancestors who were a playwright and a poet and both wrote a lot.

If you want to use bottled ink and not just cartridges all the time you can get a converter for your pen with a twisty knob that sucks the ink up.

You could buy a cheapish but cute Pilot Kakuno with a fine nib for writing and keep the other pen as is. I have 3 Kakunos and I sketch and write with them. It will probably be cheaper than getting an expensive fine nib for your existing pen.

Here is a sample of writing in my journal with the Lamy Petrol fountain pen ink.
NB : The general entry is just about something stupid that I did yesterday and today. No real secret. I didn't get any ink on my hands and the Kakuno converter worked really well

There’s some international cyclist coming to Perth for the UCI World Cup I wanted to go and try out my new camera unfortunately the venue is a long way from the city and it would be hard for me to get there by taxi and the tickets are expensive, except for standing only and I have a leg disability

Feeling frustrated and angry today. Last night I ordered sushi to be home delivered and when I opened it, it fell all over the floor underneath my computer desk. I move the desk in order to clean the floor with the broom and somehow I knocked my computer and now my monitor is not switching on

Annnd this happened in the middle of talks that were ongoing in a positive way. To make it seem even more senseless the Ayatollah who has gone will be replaced by someone who was already in line. It wont change anything. Done by two despots together already killing people.
Ironic really

My first question too when I read this. Mine work but they are not the most sturdy. A third one of mine refused to suck up ink so had to throw it out.

It sounds like you take more time and are more careful when using a fountain pen. I found that too. Originally my writing became very bad because of 2 teachers during my education and their pressure and urgency on us to get things noted down.

Old fashioned? a lot of people have never stopped using it, me included. If I have to use a computer at work or home I still have note pads for calculations and thoughts which are part of whatever project Im using the computer for.

You can get a converter for it if you want to use bottled ink rather than cartridges. You can find them at fountain pen shops and on Amazon

Quite a lot of people elected in America are way too old. Retirement should be the same age as for the retirement pension. 80 year old + men and women hanging onto their seat is not loyalty to their constituents its greed over the salary.

Yes and quite a few people didnt vote and it may have helped the outcome. Here in Australia we have about a 98% turnout for federal voting. Postal and early voting is allowed, ID not required...and it works well.

Millions of disposable biros are thrown into land fill world wide every year and take too long to break down. Land space available for waste is limited so we need solutions. Everything these days seems to be manufactured to be thrown out.

I prefer to talk about what I love. The world seems to have been very angry since covid.. My life is filled with creativity. eg cameras, fountain pens, writing, painting, music. Being negative makes you sick. I think its safe to say we need to love ourselves a lot more than we do.
