The Trump Administrationβs thoughtless and contradictory travel guidance to Americans in the Middle East right now is frustrating and downright dangerous.
My focus remains making sure Oregonians are safe. Please reach out to my team if you need help.

So far the war in Iran has cost an estimated $5.5 billion.
That's roughly $1 billion per day.
$41,666,667 per hour.
$11,574 per second.
People do not want this.
They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.
Turns out lawlessness is not a winning strategy. See you at Nuremberg 2.0
The president recently learned what all of us already knew: the Supreme Court ruled that his attempt to pass tariffs under IEEPA were unlawful and unconstitutional. Now, he's trying to do it again. And we'll see him in court. #orpol

AG Rayfield is leading a multistate coalition in a lawsuit to block the presidentβs latest efforts to impose illegal tariffs on American consumers and businesses. Two weeks ago, the Supreme Court ruled the presidentβs tariffs under IEEPA unconstitutional. The president immediately turned to a separate law that has never been used beforeβSection 122 of the Trade Act of 1974βand announced 15% tariffs on most products worldwide. The states are once again challenging this illegal taxation.
A recent analysis by researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York concluded that nearly 90% of the costs of tariffs in 2025 were paid by American consumers and businesses. Experts estimate that, in Oregon, the tariffs will raise the cost of living for the average family by more than $1200 a year. This essentially imposes a sales tax on citizens of the state, something that Oregonians have voted down for years.

AG Rayfield sues to stop latest round of illegal tariffs
βThe focus right now should be on paying people back, not doubling down on illegal tariffs. People are already making hard choices about what to put in their shopping cart. Prices on basics like groceries, clothing and other essentials have all been skyrocketing. At some point, the bills become unmanageable.β
BREAKING NEWS: Weβre suing to stop the latest round of unconstitutional tariffs.
The presidentβs focus should be on paying people back, not doubling down on finding creative new ways to illegally tax Americans.

Kelly: "You could pick a random group of people off the street tonight here in DC and they could probably do a better job than our government is doing right now. They don't have a goal, there's no strategic plan. And what this is likely to lead to is, again, a long war with a lot of dead Americans."
Oregon's snowpack is meager so far, and fears are growing that this summer's wildfire conditions will be dire. With about half of the state's land managed by the federal government, Sen. Ron Wyden is pushing the Trump administration to provide some answers on its plans to do to prepare.
If these prosecutors aren't busy how about they go after some pedophiles

AG Rayfield defends access to birth control & contraceptive care
βNo one should have to choose between paying for groceries and other everyday essentials and affording birth control. These regulations let employers make deeply personal decisions for their employees. Oregonians deserve a workplace that doesnβt come with strings attached to their medical care.β
More than 80% of women ages 18-49 have used contraception in the past 12 months β and new unlawful regulations could shift an estimated $73.8 million in costs to consumers.
Thatβs why weβre taking action to defend access to birth control. #orpol
