Yes, and no! Apatemyids are a more rare fossil found in North America, and they have skeletal characteristics allowing them to fill a similar niche to modern day aye-ayes! The NPS suggests they are close to the primate family and prefers them depicted as such.

The largest species of mammoth, the Columbian mammoth was one of the last large elephants to inhabit the grassland environments of North America during the Pleistocene epoch.
During the same period of time, the gompothere Cuvieronius inhabitted similar environments of South America.
