It’s beautiful burled wood, isn’t it? I’ll ask my folks when I see them on Sunday.

Happy St Piran’s Day to my fellow Cornish friends. St Piran is the patron saint of Cornwall and is celebrated on March 5. Here is a clip of our Cornish Anthem, β€˜Trelawney’ to celebrate.

As we say in Cornish:

Gool Peran Lowen.

We called them that, too! Or wardrobes. The entire thing can be taken apart in sections and reassembled somewhere else. And it really is an antique. My Dad was smart to work with a carpenter to both restore it and make it easy to move.

A close-up of the surface of an iceberg, with a red dusk sky behind, and flecks of red and blue in the ripples on the surface. Some little ice lines can be seen too.

Close-up of an iceberg at dusk a few nights ago. There were so many people clambering over the icebergs that it was challenging to get a photo with no-one in it. Managed to sneak in there to get a bit closer.

How I loathe Daylight Saving Time. It’s not natural and I’m one of those people that does have health problems when the clocks change. We should just abolish it, not go to permanent DST as some countries have done. My mind and body take their cues from the natural rhythm of the earth.

"Nadine and the Unexpected Spa Day Companion," drawn in February 2024 and an appropriate nod to the rain we're getting in southern Michigan these days. It's also the cover artwork of my 2026 calendar, which is currently on sale for 20% off! zinnart.com/products/str...

What kind of computer are you using? It could be a compatibility issue with the new OS. it sounds suspiciously buggy. If you have a Mac, go thee hence to Apple Support. Online forums can be helpful because a lot of people may be experiencing this.
