1983 for me. Time to abandon ship. Their customer support has been awful for the last few years anyway. Guessing that converting documents in Apple's proprietary formats (Pages, Numbers, Freeform) is going to be the biggest pain, but it needs to be done
This is testimony…
📌 Stella Carlson, “Pink coat lady”, speaks on the murder of Alex Pretti.
“After the shooting, they (ICE) decided to just scatter and save themselves.”
Perfect. I love a log fire, but I think it’s right to limit them to emergencies!
Yeah, that makes sense - as far as I can see, inside temperature dropping a few degrees on exceptionally cold days really the only risk of a well-designed heat pump system
ICE agent clapping when Alex Pretti got executed.
I already come top BlueSky for my news in preference to the BBC.
It used to be Twitter, and to some extent X still serves that purpose, but we all know what happened there (as typically evidenced by the late flurries of comments on any story suggesting even a modicum of humanity towards others).
“Freedom is not free. We have to work at it. Nurture it. Protect it. Even sacrifice for it.”
I struggle with this. I understand Dale is now promoting green gas, but that doesn’t necessitate joining the far right luddites dissing heat pumps, which still use energy generation resources far, far more efficiently, and work perfectly wherever sufficient radiator area can be achieved.
Absolutely. My hope is that we reserve biofuels to be used only in applications where batteries don’t make sense (normally due to weight) such as medium and long haul aviation. No reason not to electrify road haulage IMO. We just need to slowly make it happen (trucks, grid, renewables, chargers).
Putting solar panels on land used for biofuels would produce enough electricity for all cars and trucks to go electric...

What’s the outside temperature while you’re seeing this? I’m guessing the two possible solutions are (a) increase insulation or (b) for more of larger radiators (or UFH, or the more modern structurally embedded wall heating)?
That’s impressive. What kit do you have to achieve this?
I’m guessing this would mean that your heating system will just fail to maintain the target set point, but hopefully by a lot less than the 1 deg temperature excursion, so hopefully hardly noticeable?
You guys still have an independent grid (Texas separated from the rest of the US)?
Alt: cartoon of a man behind a desk “you want coal, we own the mines. You want oil, we own the wells, you want nuclear power, we own the uranium. You want solar power we… er… well solar power isnt feasable.”
Can’t imagine the heat pump itself detected this; I’m guessing your home heating controller has an external temperature compensation function (which you might be able to adjust)?
A video of Alex Pretti reading out the final salute of an unnamed veteran he cared for until the end of his life in the ICU, posted to Facebook by his son.
Can any country in the world do any kind of "deal" with this lying and corrupt US administration? Of course not. The less we have to do with it, the better.

I would consider that "a good conversation"
No, they are not "exceptionally high call volumes" if you already have a prerecorded message to say that. Thank you.
And what if it's still like that after 42 years? :-)

See the problem?!

MUSK LOSES BIG IN GERMANY
Germany’s CDU/CSU wins big, while the far-right AfD underperforms in second—despite backing from Elon Musk and JD Vance.
AfD is now likely to be completely shut out of the governing coalition.
