Be up there this summer....
Silicious mudstone, perhaps?
Quite nice!

2005 was a great spring as well
Been there a few times, but it's so dangerous to stop these days with how crowded it has become.
Beautiful pic!
We have a pair that regularly visit the feeders; sadly, we also have marauding grackles.... ๐
I would like to see this in person ๐ค
Church Rock was the cover photo for our book on New Mexico geology. Beautiful place!
Such a fascinating area to explore, with Navajo permission of course.
To explode like that, must be some major amounts of gas involved; methane, perhaps?
All around Tucson area; Sonoran Desert Museum, Saguaro NP, and a day trip to Bisbee.
Was a just there a couple weeks ago.
We have a pair regularly visiting the feeders in SE TX. They seem to be liking suet and peanuts.
All the same happy birds we have.

Phenomenal place to visit!
Flying squirrel?
Ours look a little happier in SE TX...

Plan to be out there in a few weeks.
You tell it who's boss! ๐คฃ
Definitely a beautiful park and drive through Cathedral Valley!
We were there last March getting photos for a book we're working on on the geology of Utah. Planning another trip to Utah in a few weeks.
We've had several Goldfinches at our feeders over the past few weeks, along with other breeds.
