I've always had a lot of respect for Reverend Jesse Jackson, but my favorite moment was his appearance on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE to pay tribute to the then-recently departed Dr. Seuss.

Let's take a moment to remember legendary Marvel artist Sal Buscema.. Sal's work was everywhere all through my childhood on books like THE INCREDIBLE HULK, DEFENDERS and ROM: SPACEKNIGHT, and later a brilliant run on SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN with writer J.M. DeMatteis.
Thanks for everything, Sal.
Sal Buscema turns 90 today. There's hardly a Marvel character Sal hasn't left his mark on, from Cap to the Hulk, Avengers to Thor. Working with Sal for two years on Spectacular Spider-Man remains a highlight of my career. And the best part? He's not just a great artist, he's a truly good guy.

Disney's 1979 film The Black Hole had a Little Golden Book edition, "A Spaceship Adventure for Robots." This version of the story, featuring V.I.N.CENT and Old B.O.B., conveniently omits the violent and weird end of the film. There is some fruit juggling though.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century received a Little Golden Book version in 1979: "Buck Rogers and the Children of Hopetown." Twiki dumps pepper on menacing mutants and celebrates with a victory dance.

Although it's not a holiday per se
It's just the day that is the day before the day before
The day that is the best day in the world
