This is basic but I'm doing a lot of economic history right now for Tides of History and the reason prosperity and growth matter is because they usually make people's lives better: having enough to eat, access to shelter, avoidance of violence and massive stress, that's what economies are for.

In this publication, I cover some of the latest developments concerning key policy issues, such as Japan's lack of marriage equality, and analyse factors influencing policymaking.

Part of my possibly unfortunate fixation on the "medieval" part of "medieval fantasy" means that I would like to see fewer (or no) D&D characters with surnames, and more should have lineage-names ("Ragnal, Erik's Son"), epithets ("Halfdan Worm-Tamer"), or place-names ("Aethel of Badwall").
