absolutely spellbinding new release today. RIYL telling the trifling irritants of this material plane to just take a hike because youβre gonna lock eyes with the cosmos for a while
Wrote a thing about the excellent TR-49 by @inkle.co. Tried to keep things relatively spoiler-free, as this is a game best experienced knowing as little as possible going into it -- but it's also difficult to talk about without revealing a *few* things about it! moegamer.net/2026/02/01/t...

Jew in Amsterdam here. Please use Anne Frank as a comparison point to explain how state persecution of scapegoats impacts children, that is the point of her example, thanks
The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:
- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE
You know who I like to think of? John C. Woods - an incompetent drunk who wanted WW2 army money but no WW2 army death, so volunteered as a hangman to avoid combat, botched a loooot of jobs until he made it to Nuremberg to botch some more jobs.
Made top Nazis suffer waaay more than required.
Anyway!

This series of games (Cosmic Express, Sokobond Express, and now Spooky Express) will really tickle your noggin while being continually amusing and keeping the vibes immaculate. Basically anything by Draknek and Friends is guaranteed to be a really good time.
Never will forget this.
I will climb aboard by any means available however improbable and you will simply never see me again

I know you all have been asked for money countless times, but my friend the incomparable Emily Cross has been having a really rough medical time. If you are a fan of her bands @lomatheband.bsky.social or Cross Record and you can spare the money it would help her a lot.
Aw lookit this lil guy

On the other hand the NYT is nearly fully in line with the Trump administration in most ways that matter while the Guardian is still reporting from reality land. Given the choice I am with the Guardian.
I hope youβre all enjoying this descent into madness.
The important thing to remember is what while I canβt sing, neither can eels, so this little jingle is very scientifically accurate.
So please. Get an eel facts advent calendar. You donβt have to wait until Christmas for eels. EelFacts.Net

Trump gets a lot of attention for being a con man but that clip of him talking about how Putin said he won the 2020 election reminds me that he is somehow simultaneously one of the worldβs biggest suckers. An incredible combination.
Don't be Roger Waters.
This is shockingly awful but despite mostly not finding AI hallucinations funny it is undeniably kind of funny.
I mean, he didn't land on the moon, but he got to the moon twice, which is tied for the most with Gene Cernan and John Young.
