Maybe it’s because I’m a colonial historian but so many of these white nation states seem to behave exactly like they did in the 19th century: ‘your leaders aren’t right for you,’ ‘we’re only killing you/colonizing you/installing puppet leaders for your own good’

I also think it’s a chance for creators to explore/show some small ‘non-obvious’ way of being hot, and maybe open the reader’s mind slightly to finding it attractive in a partner or in themselves. Not that I’m rly pushing the boundaries there, but I’ve definitely found that in your art and others’
