It inferred the wrong type. That regex only matches on "aa" | "bb". Why would I want to do this in the type system anyway?
There's a branch of toilet paper math where marketers will try to tell you that a kilobyte is 1000 bytes and now you have to use the word "kibibyte" to talk about an actual kilobyte. It's only so they can make their numbers sound bigger.
A kilobyte is 1024 bytes (computers like powers of 2) so a floppy's 1.44 MB (1440 KB) comes out to 1,474,560 bytes. It looks like a nice round number if you write it in hex as 0x168000.
I learned about it while reminiscing about it from the jQuery days, wondering "why don't they add that to the DOM API?" and then checking and realizing they have added it.
