Exactly! π
ππ We really do make the case against ourselves. Karma will not be evaded, and they deeply misunderstand nature.
Being critical of others is a habit that is like shitting in your own bed.
Think I wear chunky rings now. Makes my fingy wingies feel happy.
Mentally refraining from finding faults in others is for our own peace of mind.
What is there is still there.
What can be done can still be done.
Why poison yourself?
Completely let go
A natural empowerment
Opens on itβs own
The clear knowing aspect of awareness is the weirdest part imo
Black and white photo of Neem Karoli Baba wrapped in a blanket. He is balding and has a short white beard. Something about him exudes peace and love.
"Don't you see it's all perfect?"
- Neem Karoli Baba
Timeline cleanse:
Baby tapir getting scritches for their itches.
If you want to scritch your very own tapir & you live outside of Central or South America or SE Asia, you'll need to visit a zoo.
But these little guys are (evolutionarily) from around here, in North America. Let's talk about it.
The essence of mind is like space, which does not need to be altered. It is just this way by itself. Do we need to imagine or fabricate the space in this room? It does not need to be manufactured. That is how the nature of all beings is.
~ Tulku Urgyen
you say: live in the present, i'm already dreaming of how it begins and trying to savor the moment but i know the feeling will come to an end, so i crave, crave to do it again, all again
I end up in Austin periodically. I will check it out! π
Be like the deer, which
On hearing the horn,
Offers its head to the hunter.
Mira's lord is the courtly Giridhara.
She says: Offer your mind
To those lotus feet.
- Mirabai, bhakti saint and poet
Painting of Rhada and Krishna dancing together in a field of blooming lotus flowers. Krishna is playing a flute.
Do not mention the name of love,
O my simple-minded companion.
Strange is the path
When you offer your love.
Your body is crushed
At the first step.
If you want to offer love,
Be prepared to cut off your head
And sit on it.
Be like the moth,
Which circles the lamp
And offers its body.
A painting of Radha and Krishna embracing so closely that they appear almost as one entity. He plays his flute while she is wrapped around him.
Painting of Krishna and Radha. Close up of Krishna's face pressed adoringly against Radha's feet. His eyes are filled with devotion as he looks toward her.
sahaja
A romantic painting depicting Radha and Krishna where she is seated in a garden wearing a blue and red dress and he is bowing deeply with his head at her feet.

Up close shot of the faces on a thangka of (I think) Chakrasamvara and Vajravarahi representing the union of bliss and emptiness. They both wear five-skull crowns, Heruka's also has a colored double vajra. He looks pretty rad and intense. He is dark blue and has a smile. His three eyes are red. There are rays of a sunburst behind him and a crescent moon to his upper left.
We can complain that
rosebushes have thorns, or
rejoice that thorns have roses.

π€€ that's real good
All-timer meditation essay imo
"When I did open to everything, there was no opposition β there was no enemy. I didnβt have to struggle with experience. At the same time, there was no truth, no state of perfection, no ideal, no final achievement." unfetteredmind.org/article/a-wa...
To have experience is itself the true buddha-nature.
Do not be dismayed when the sand of existence slips between grasping fingers.
Hold a steady gaze and dispel illusion with the breath of reality.
Take courage and exceed the hateful wheel of tit-for-tat. Manifest instead what benefits all.
Trying to figure out what the timeline is talking about
Attended an online Zen talk yesterday in which the speaker mentioned that the "royal ease" pose of the bodhisattva Kannon (Quanyin) portrays an accessible compassion and equanimity, and a readiness to act with kindness and wisdom.
Such an evocative pose. I've been struck by it since I first saw it. That image periodically becomes my phone wallpaper.
A graceful modern painting of guru rinpoche. Is seated in the traditional posture holding a vajra and a skull cup with a vase inside. There is light shining on him from above and a soft Halo appears around his head. He is wearing long red silk and has a katvanga in the crook of his left arm.
HΕ«m! In the northwest of the land of Oddiyana, in the heart of a lotus flower, endowed with the most marvelous attainments, you are renowned as the Lotus-Born, surrounded by many hosts of dakinis. Following in your footsteps I pray to you: come inspire me with your blessings!
Guru pema siddhi hΕ«m!
Seriously cool adaptation.
And I call 'Kleptoplasty' as a band name.
Yeah this is a red line among red lines. This cannot be allowed to happen.
