How Trump Decided to Go to War

The New York Times, with supporting testimony today from the Secretary of State himself, reports that Israel dragged the United States into war with Iran. This is … not great. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/02/u...

Short answer: I don’t know.

Longer answer: The Kuwaitis have a lot of Patriot batteries, so that is my assumption.

Labor Secretary Is a Rare Presence at Department in Turmoil

Not saying he should fire the Secretary of Labor, but I will say that this would be a really good time to do so and have no one notice. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/02/u...

As someone once responsible for improving the integrated air and missile defenses of our Arab Gulf partners, I want to congratulate the Kuwaitis on their, um, uh, unprecedented success in this regard.

I was in Nashville for a funeral yesterday and caught up with my best friend over drinks before heading to the airport. Saw a guy walk into the bar at 2:15pm, open a bottle of Pedialyte he brought with him, and start chugging it alongside his alcohol. Next level stuff going on in Middle Tennessee.

Bridge Owner Lobbied Administration Before Trump Blasted Competing Span to Canada

Best of luck to any Republicans running for office in Michigan this year. This is one of the most unbelievable stories of corruption I have read since that last story about corruption from last week. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/10/w...

I can, sadly, understand a business case for the Washington Post dropping its Metro, World, and Sports coverage and doubling down on political and regulatory journalism. Can’t understand what was more important for Will Lewis to do today than attend that meeting, though. Just POS leadership.

I hope every Democratic foreign policy official who served in the Biden Administration and/or hopes to serve again noticed what Benjamin Netanyahu just said about Joe Biden allegedly starving the IDF of ammunition in Gaza.

It’s says a lot about the state of the Department of Justice that the person they found to argue on behalf of the U.S. government here has been at DOJ for less than two months and is three years out of law school at the University of Florida. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/01...

Trump β€˜Inclined’ to Keep Exxon Out of Venezuela The president said he didn’t like comments from the company’s CEO during a meeting Friday at the White House.

Gianni Infantino is responsible for this. As long as Trump held out hope for the Nobel Prize, he was not going to go to war in Venezuela. But that dang FIFA Peace Price has satiated his appetite for peace, freeing him up for war. I say all of this only 5/6 jokingly.

This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

Mamdani picks his mentor: The woke, radical, anti-Israel YouTuber Ms. Rachel Successful American politicians always know how to pick savvy mentors.

Polling suggests Israel is historically unpopular in the demographic corresponding with people likely to have small children, so I need someone smarter than me to explain how picking a fight with Ms. Rachel of all people makes any sense whatsoever. nypost.com/2025/12/26/o...

Can’t help but think some people would love for this to all be about journalism standards and best practices and not, say, the rendition of human beings to some medieval dungeon without due process.
