Everytime I see one of these policies, I get upset thinking how we in higher ed dropped the ball. Higher Ed operated using the "trust me bro" method for so long, now many Americans/politicians don't trust or methods and practices. 😞

Although this story is not new, what is higher doing?

This continues to be crazy to me. This one man held so much influence, that everyone had to be attached to him. How was all this possible. My question, who is this person today? Who is the person that all leaders in America/Higher Edu feel the need to connect with. Outside of the the current POTUS.

Achieving our goals can provide an adrenaline and dopamine rush that is fulfilling and rewarding, but it is often short-lived as we must immediately tackle yesterday's deadline.

The race we participate in does not permit basic standards. Our environment demands that we surpass yesterday's achievements because they have become the average today. The rules are either evolving or being established by those who forget a time "when they were".

*Mic Check* Truth is, academia can be lonely. We miss the camaraderie of friends & accountability partners from grad school/post-doc life. TT positions often lack community & can be challenging. There has to be a better way, but until then, keep GRINDING, WRITING, PRODUCING, & keep your nose clean!

This moment will be studied. Not all relationships are perfect, and some relationships must come to an end. But let me be clear, I am not walking away, going to a bar. hahahah

We all anticipated this outcome after the Gov and several prominent Republican officials expressed their opinions. If this individual were not a student, they would have already been terminated. The goal of the investigation was to find evidence supporting the predetermined conclusion.

So disappointing to see this in writing and in our face, like we are clueless.
