Unreal tutorial: if you plug a world position node into the emissive of a material and place it in the center of the world, you get different rainbows depending on the shape of the object.

Super achievable goal! My biggest problem learning was finding the right material, so I would recommend browsing a bunch of tutorials before diving too deep into a series that might end up being confusing or misleading.
As someone who works in tech for a large corporation, I really wish people would stop blaming tech for the failings of capitalism. Eyes on the prize people.
It's very frustrating to watch tech dev wrestle control over voice and narrative from the audio department and writing departments respectively while at the same time so eager to exploit the creative work of the very employees that made them industry leaders in the first place.

When I went to SoTFest I wanted to see the eastern coast of the UK, and the train by me went to Skegness. People were confused why a US tourist would go there, meanwhile being from NJ I felt right at home.
Probably because material slots can be inconsistent between models. May be something you need an editor utility widget for, I keep putting off looking into those 🙃
One other option is to make a local variable so you get a nice named reusable node, and you can even set the default value. It's also another good reason to wrap stuff like this in a function 👍

Very nice! I used to work on Rock Band transcribing drums, and the animation followed the MIDI notes. One challenge here is you're doing the work of 3 limbs with only 2. You might say you're.. shooting yourself in the foot
This is the exact same leopards-eating-faces article, just written in a way that is sympathetic to people who never bothered to look up what a leopard was before voting for it.
Someone suggested a kite accessory for their robot on stream and I put a foliage shader on it so it ripples in the wind. Really happy with the result so far.
