Dan Gavitt said that, while its not the be all, end all, WAB has become pretty important when it comes to the selection of teams for the tournament, while predictive metrics help with seeding.
Miami (OH) currently ranks 35th in WAB.

For a good while, the four No. 1 seeds held firm with, in some order, Michigan, Duke, Arizona and UConn. Not anymore. UConn’s loss to Creighton drops them to a 2 seed and moves Houston up to the No. 1 seed in the South.
